Yay! Downloaded the mod yesterday and had a multiplayer session with some friends. Super fun! I recon this will be my main source of entertainment for a good while :D

 

I was so excited yesterday that I didn't even leave a meager "Thanks!", so I'll do that now. Thanks a lot for your guys' hard work! :) I'll stick around and give feedback if anything comes up.

 

One thing is to update the Ravage Altis Scenario for MP. I see you've already made some smart changes to the mission start in anticipation of MP.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with GitHub, Haleks, but here's something in case you're unaware:

 

All repos on GitHub have a basic and easy to use Issue Tracker. This is where you and others can report issues, bugs, request features, etc., and you can organize by tag, completion, version, etc. Issues are basically "threads" with extra features and anyone can comment on any public issue (you can also keep private issues). Though you might be familiar with getting feedback from forums, it can quickly get out of hand, and an issue tracker is a very nice way to stay organized and on top of all things development.

is it possible to remove radiation your mod, if so how do i go about doing it

Maybe put up a link in OP to the FAQ: http://ravage.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ

 

  • Can you turn off zombies?
  • Can you turn off radiation?
  • Does Ravage work with other maps?
  • Etc.

(BTW Haleks, GitHub repos also have integrated wikis. Haha, you'd think I was a GitHub employee. I'm not, I just love it!)​

Good idea - done. :)

 

Most of the wiki was written before v0135, so a few things here and there might be outdated.

Now that the update is released, I will actually have some time to have a look and edit or add informations.

Hey Haleks, thanks for the update, and thanks to everyone else involved as well! Any chance you could use some help spotting bugs? I'm no good at coding or scripting, just if you need another guy to confirm certain bugs like inventory glitches, zombie glitches or general problems that you've found and might need another player to try and duplicate, or anything else someone like me could help out with if you need it. Not asking for a beta or anything like that, just wanted to see if I could chip in and assist with the current build.

Fixed a few errors with Status display and Radiation.

Requirements are the same as before : http://ravage.wikia.com/wiki/Transport

The improvements concern various scripts & minor tweaks : some vehicles couldn't be fully repaired, wich should be should be 100% fixed now.

So to set up a MP mission similar to the default one, let's say for two players, is it just as simple as laying down all the modules (including the new MP saves module), and grouping two players together?

Is there anything in place to set the spawn point as random? And I take it if I want some gear on me I'll have to add it to the playable unit's manually (I.E. because the burning car sequence won't be available)?

Yes, this should be enough to set up a MP mission, although there is no easy way to emulate the introduction sequence from the Altis demo.

If you want, you can add random gear to players by adding this to their init :

0 = [this] call rvg_fnc_equip

I will work on a basic MP mission template for those who aren't too sure about how to proceed.
