Exactly. But they launch it at Air Bases. Jones and I are part of a CSG Unit. And the only Marine piece to us that would be considered viable would be the VMFA-323

I hope lol. It will be a massive pain in the ass but we're planning on it. Also working on making proper working cranes, door, and elevators.

Are there any NSW units planned for this pack? SWCC, SEALs?

Frontpage says there's plans for uniforms.. don't know if that's just ship crew uniforms.

Nah its fine. We havent looked into SF stuff year like FORCON, SEAL, MARSOC etc. Just the basic air, ground, and sea assets. We plan on expanding to other packs, like historical vehicles, experimental aircraft, assets from other countries etc and eventually we'll come back and create uniforms and branch out into SF assets. But that's down the line, unless our team tripples in size.

personally i do agree i personally love the thought of it and i do personally love how all the hard works the folks over at RHS as well as the USAF and the ACE3 crews have done to enhance the community and we here on the team hope to do the same

Maybe this mod need some zumwalt...

im in the process of modelling the zumwalt (60%), right now im doing the weapon commander post where i have 9 pip monitors showing the gunnerview of each 8 gunners and driver and near each pip i will add a texture with the keyboard fxx button you need to press in order to issue command to said gunner(no more guessing who from the bottom of the screen)  if im right, it will allow a very fast order chain.

 

im also trying to find good references for the gerald ford carrier cause i wanna made that too as a movable ship with weapons functional as well. it probably wont support landing like a static object but it will allow missions like protect/escort the carrier and other stuff.

 

edit:im not asking for a specific date, but you guys want to release everything at once or in steps depending when its done? because i would really like to wait for the expansion and the new features before cracking my skull to do workarounds of something that bis will probably implement natively...but thats me

 

PS im also working on some chinese (054) and russian(kirov, udaloy) ships because whats the point on having a navy if you dont have enemies to shoot...

So are you working with the US Naval Mod? To bring in the Zumwalt Class?

He is not. And we are currently not building the Zumwalt Class Destroyers because the USN has yet to have one commissioned. We're also not adding any more assets until we have the current list completed. After the current list is completed, then we will look into adding more :D

They deploy and operate from aircraft carriers too, they always have been (like the Intruder) and there's no reason why they should stop, as long as they are not replaced entirely by the Growler (which is rather unlikely given the F-35 is about to enter service).

I'm fully aware. I meant the MARINE EA-6Bs. The MC only launches VMFAs from carriers. And the Navy has retired the EA-6B, and the E/A-18G now takes it's place.

 

Marines commonly will only launch from airbases minus their VMFAs of which there is only one per CVW.

 

Please don't get me wrong either, I've done my research.

Ahhhh this is going to be awesome! I love naval warfare in Arma 3! Sorta not in Arma 2 but Arma 3 most definitely, so what's the deal on submarines? It would be incredible to see some submarines in Altis floating around shooting off torpedoes as destroyers! Also I recommend it would be cool for not just the Special Operations Naval and Marine Camo's but as well maybe the Digital Blue Naval Camo and some of the Flight Deck Crew guys, would be also cool for some hand signals added as well. Not trying to hoarde your list up or anything! lol Can't wait for this release! It might tempt me up to buy a community and have some Fleet Unit with Marines and Navy units lol.

Seems rather unlikely, given the fact that it's the Marines sole electronic warfare asset, and given the fact that the Air Force retired its Ravens so if anything they need the Prowlers even more.

USMC only assigns VMFA's to CVW's. Marine EA-6B's are still equipped to land on carriers, and do so from time to time, but they are not normally assigned as part of a CVW. VMFA's don't need USMC EW assets when they're assigned to carriers, because the Navy takes care of that.

Just to clarify all this:

While VMFAs are still carrier-borne, the EA-6B has been retired from carrier use. Ergo, the EA-6B will only launch from land bases and will never land on a carrier again in it's remaining time in service. Per the newly released plan by the USMC, a EW variant of the F-35(EA-35B/C?) will most likely replace the EA-6B, but we have to wait and see. Until it's replacement is announced, I presume Navy EA-18G's will be used for the EW role in the fleet.

 

You also have to remember that the airframe has been use for about 40-45 years now and it is getting costly to maintain(Granted the F35 isnt any better, it is at least new) and it's hardware is not efficient enough for the current jet standards.

 

Right now, 7SS will develop the EA-6B and release it for public use in A3 when it is ready.

Like I said. USMC Prowlers are land-based, but they still do make carrier landings occasionally, and are not assigned to carrier air wings.

lol thats the point im trying to put across. They do not land on carrier anymore as of last week. If you read the memo, they state that they will not land/takeoff on carrier anymore. They can, but will not. Maybe in an emergency but I do not see them being close enough to a carrier to do an emergency landing.

 

Either way, I am personally looking into making the B/C variant of the F-35, as well as how we can add all it's weaponry and ordnance options. Hopefully i can learn John_Spartans service menu fast enough to release them by next week :D
