[WIP] Terrain Diyala province Iraq

Recommended Posts

First, is this map actually 8,192 x 8,192km? My unit is thinking of using this map for a flashback campaign of Operation Iraqi Freedom

Yes the Terrain is 8,192 x 8,192 km,

the entire Map is playable.

there are a few big towns, a lot small towns , one Airfield,  few Military Bases and Camps, the river that goes from north to south and divides the Map.....

too much I will not say now :D

depends on... its ~60% size from Chernarus ;)

I see that issue here-he wrote it is 8192 KM. As in eight thousand KILOMETRES-it couldn't be that big. If it is 60% of Chernarus then it would be 8 kilometres correct?

This terrain looks absolutely amazing.  I am an avid mission-maker and LOVE terrains that are made with the degree of detail and depth that this one appears to have from the screenshots I've seen so far.

To say I am anxiously awaiting the release of this terrain would be a massive understatement.

:D

This map looks absolutely amazing, love the detail you put into it. Do you have any intentions on indexing the map for ALiVE in the future?

Please forgive me if it's already been asked, but are you going to include any military installations for players to populate or leave it blank so we can make our own?

Also, you mentioned that there is a "big airport".  Is that a civilian airport or a military airfield?

Again, you work on this terrain looks amazing and I can't wait for it's release!

no problem dude, the Airfield is military.

all over the Map are a few Military camps B)

there are also some fields that are empty, if you need to create your own camp for your mission...

Hey folks. Been doing a little bug hunting for Cyperevenge on Diyala and I can only say you are in for a real treat. This is easily one of the most expertly crafted, beautiful maps I have ever seen in Arma. The placement of objects, buildings and natural features gives it an incredibly real and "lived in" feeling- which is sometimes something that can be lacking from Arma maps.

So anyway-the testing continues. Just letting you all know the wait is well worth it for this.
