@charlie1210 the Mk4 vests are largely unchanged in this release.  The focus has been a complete range of Mk2 vests.

Lifetap is correct. Apart from adjusting the slight brightness issues with the MK4's, we haven't changed much for his release. We've been concentrating on other content. However, we are attempting to include the working pistol holster proxy on a thigh holster, though getting the weights correct so that the pistol stays in the holster as the unit moves through different stances is proving tricky.

Once we get our new uniform sorted out, we'll be able to improve the MK4's somewhat so that they better fit the unit.

Ours too !! We're still missing some key equipment e.g. Older series LAW tubes. Milan, CVRT platforms etc. But decent kit and a lovely SLR is a good start !

Do you guys now if you'll be doing an Apache specialised helmet with built in nvgs? now that bis has made it possible.. As always love your work and possible for the vic topic but will you guys be adding Brimstone to the apache loadout and updating the gunner cockpit to the updated one?? Much love as always

Not for the next release. Of the points you have raised, the most likely to be done is the helmet as that is largely just a few lines of config. We have a lot of other vehicles to get to version 1 before we start spending serious time on updating the Apache again. Sorry.

There is quite a bit in development. Updating the weapons / equipment and units are the primarily focus at the moment. They aren't too far away now. Running in parallel with those are new Land Rovers. They are coming along excellently. UK_Apollo is doing some great work on them. After that, it will be mostly a case of choosing a vehicle type at a time to work on and our Opfor pack as our mission makers are wanting new factions (and we'll roll them out to the community as well). It won't be as in-depth as some out there as its not primarily our area of focus, but it will include quite a bit. That's the plan right now.

So the OPFOR pack will be a seperate mod? I guess that makes sense if you're using RHS as a requirement though.

Speaking of packs, is there any discussion on merging the four 3CB projects into one download? This is easily my favorite pack in Arma. I'm a mod guy through and through and have no qualms in playing a mission with 20 Addons loaded. But I've been getting messaged a lot lately, especially from new players, asking if I can remove 3CB from my released missions, not because of the quality, but because I guess people are against adding 4 new mods to their server or something?

I'll never really understand that logic, and I'm sure you get it from people too.

Is merging them totally off the table, even way down the road?

Merging at some point isn't off the table. The reason they were split up initially is that some groups wanted to use the kit, others the weapons, and some just the vehicles. Also, we didn't plan to get this involved in modmaking from the outset. Our initial work was just to correct some bugs and push a new release from the Jackal. Things have grown since then, so we will have to take stock and assess as we go forward. There is no right answer however. We do get requests from US groups and others for certain items, without the need to download all of the rest of our kit. The Apache is a good example of that. Some like that it is largely a modular mod set, others don't, so we can't really 'win' with whatever approach we take in the future. :)

We have discussed this at length within the team, and Evrik is correct in saying that there is no one answer that suits all.  Whereas the BAF community may prefer one large mod, there are many players outside of the BAF community that use a selection of our assets in-game, but do not want the overhead of installing one huge pack.

In all likelihood we'll merge the equipment with the weapons at some point in the future (no timescale on this).  Just because these two packs are becoming so interrelated that it'll make dev work easier.

We currently have no plans to merge either the units or the vehicles.

EDIT.  We are beginning to divide up the mods into multiple pbo's to enable people to pick and choose, if mod size is an important issue to them.

@Sgt Taylor, we're always interested in good images of the kit, thanks.

Although we're currently feature complete on our equipment / weapons mods, pending our next release.

Awesome video guys, nice to see all the new equipment, weapons and features coming up, can't wait to have look at it myself. I especially enjoyed watching all the "old school" stuff. I didn't see any plain olive green webbing in the arsenal list, is that something you have thoughts about adding as well? Another idea is the old Royal Marines style olive green trousers and DPM smock ontop for the whole Falklands immersion. Thanks for all your great work on this mod guys, looking forward to get a proper mission going when it's ready.

It's not currently in there, but I guess it would be fairly simple to include. The older era equipment is just included as an additional extra really. Our focus will still remain on getting the Afghan-era equipment and vehicles released.

Picture of rifles regimental beret...

Colour is very similar to Commando Green however it is Rifles green!! This picture also gave me the idea of have badges of rank on the players smock being dependent on the players ingame rank, just throwing that idea out there. :P

Oh my god! I havn't been following this thread much, but i just saw your new uniforms. The older style smock and pants is the exact thing I have been looking for since the first day I played Arma 3-down to the smallest detail.I cant believe someone actually made it.And made it so well! Really really nice job :D

I mean this one-

Thanks. The images will help for future releases. We'll need to remodel the PCLE webbing to perfectly fit the new uniform. At the moment the one we have is designed purely for the Smock.

The 60mm can be operated by one or two men. It is slightly faster to reload and use with a dedicated loader dropping the rounds down the tube however.

I really like being able to sling my helmet to my ruck. I believe someone released a mod enabling you to do that. Without having this mod. If someone knows what I'm talking about, can you link it to me?
