Map Editing Question

Recommended Posts

I have a question I have a map and the that owner of this map allows everyone to use it for there server, and I'm trying to delete and add some stuff to the map and I'm using x-cam in order to do this and when i click on an object it says project can not be found but I can place the same project next to it. Is there anyway I can edit the map fully?

Hey!

It is (afaik) not possible to delete objects which are implemented on the map (inside the pbo)

And are you sure you are allowed to alter the map? Using and changing it is not the same! ;)

Yes I'm fairly certain but I'm gonna contact the person who created the map himself just incase again but what do I need in order to do such a thing?

I see lots of people using this map and deleting and adding stuff

Hi,

You need the source data of the map and (real) deleting is possible with the official tools only.

What you saw was not real deletion , but a simple hiding of objects . However, this feature works only with certain types of objects .
