[coop 25] End Game Hardened

Hi,

Releasing my little version of End Game with my twist on it.

This is a CTF style coop mission for up to 25 players.

It is aimed at smaller groups of players who find the regular 40+ player CTF missions too big for a small team.

Features:

- CTF style gameplay

- Revive

- HALO jumps

- Supply drops

- Pre-set loadout kits

- VCOM AI

- Virtual Loadout

- Adjustable mission parameters

- No unnecessary scripts that would drag down the FPS

- Ideal for 2-25 players

** Press U for group management

** Squad Leader can only call support

Tips and suggestions are welcome.

Sorry for lack of Briefing in the mission.

Step 1 : Capture the base from the Independent forces.

Step 2: When the base is captured, this will unlock the tasks.

Step 3: All tasks are random, each location has a choice of 3 objectives to choose from.

Step 4: When all tasks are complete, then the next stage unlocks.

Step 5: Locate the hidden sat-phone, this is on a random objective location. Next stage unlocks

Step 6: Take sat-phone to hidden location to upload data.

^^^This! +1 just for your efforts directed at the father-son duo who just want to kill some time on a rainy saturday afternoon without dealing with a server full of swearing, uncooperative malcontents. The best thing about ArmA, the community. The worst thing about arma...... the community.

Question.... is the intent for this to be run on a dedicated? I get hammered on frame rate as soon as a client joins. We did some testing. Client join, Frame rates drop to single digits. Client drop, my frames return to 30's and up. Rinse and repeat, same result. Hosted up an alternative mission, no problems. Even had pubs join and pulled 4 of them along just fine. Guidance appreciated.

Played a while solo. Frames seem to take a beating after a only a few minutes. Notice that when I have died and am respawning that the respawn timer is all herky-jerky. Clicks off 2 seconds or so. Stops. Clicks off 2 seconds or so. Stops.

Looks like an great mission, well orchestrated and presented.... just cant seem to play it. I'll be glad to help localize and solve the problem.... even if it's me... but I don't think it is because I am running clean.

Fired up a dedicated server on alternate box, joined, played for a bit and all seemed well. Will try with additional players tonight but my theory that this is meant to be run on a dedicated server seems to be correct.

Agree the tasks were too easy.

Now fixed, the dac ai zone area was too large.

Mission now updated.

Using on House of Clowns Dedicated server seems to work fine. Dont usually do CTF (Just Coop) not sure what the tasks are in this as there is no Briefing?

At the initial start point seeing both Blue force & Independents at the nearby base, we are getting shot at on approach, shoot the IFF & blue force shoot at you?:confused:

Any chance of a description of tasks, or how to activate a task?

As there are NO tasks at all, random or otherwise activated, or generated once in the mission?

Then when + only when that is done, it unlocks the next stage.

Which happens to be the tasks, the tasks are random.

Each location of the task can choose from 3 different objectives.

When all tasks complete, then you have find the random hidden sat-phones to upload the data.

I will look into this, as its set in mission that Independents are friendly to no-one.

Thanks for reply;

Replaced the brief with your new one.

Found Independents WERE friendly to "OPFOR", so changed it to "nobody" & resaved. testing today.

Later after testing

3 players cleared the base of all enemy & nothing happened? went to flag & just HALO option. How is one supposed to "Capture" the base?
