ARMA 2: OA Beta build 131129 (1.63 MP compatible, STEAM only)

build 1.63.130810 has just been released on Steam in Beta branch for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead

Engine:

fixes:

* NAN

* squad logo/xml

* CU-RE-L exploit

* server != load client profile

* unwanted structures dmg client

* query UDPport+1

note:

this is newer than released 'stable' 1.63 !

warning:

as data differs to stable 1.63 it might cause issues on some servers / mods -

please tell mission authors/mod creators/server owners to work on support new data before it become new stable

Running beta 1.63.130810.

script error occurred in the OA Alice module:

 Error Missing ;
File ca\modules_e\alice2\data\scripts\main.sqf, line 14

Was running the BAF campaign mission 02: Lancers. The error occurred only once at mission start. No Alice civilians appeared that I saw, only the mission ones did.

Then I went to SP editor and placed only a unit and OA Alice module. The error spammed the .rpt file.

known issues with actual 1.63.130810:

* DLC installs not working

fix for this hopefully within next week

planned fixes for A2OA (if all goes well):

* sorting \keys\*.bikey random error (solved in A3 DEV already)

* decrease amount of queries to server (solved in A3 DEV already)

Does it mean that steamQueryPort is (game port + 1) now? If so it doesn't work.

Soo I think I found a bug in the revive system.

The only thing is, is there any revive system in arma 2? Or is this a mod?

But anyway. I play on an insurgency server of veterans-gaming.

And when I try to revive a team mate, he's stuck on me...

But that only happens when I'm switch to my secondairy weapon.

When using squad.xml downloaded from bis wiki example zip, I get this error in RPT:

Warning: Wrong data in squad.xml for Player[snakeMan], Squad[http://link.../squad.xml]

Was the fix listed in first post only to remove the annoying dialog and tons of RPT spam about cannot load texture?

it means the squad.xml isn't strictly following squad.xml formatting (some deviation) ...

please update such xml to pass parser

Err, I copy pasted the squad.dtd and .xml directly from bis wiki example zip, then just edited my own personal player info there obviously. The formatting is correct, I checked both .dtd and .xml files in http://www.xmlvalidation.com/

Regarding your suggestion, the only thing I can imagine if inside the elements my info has some invalid characters or something (but I xml validated WITH my info and it passed OK).

I receive that message after today's update of A2OA when try connect to my server:

20:10:23 Player Schatten: Wrong signature for file D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\addons\corepatch.pbo

Cache check didn't help.

Is there a chance that ACR Lite will be integrated as part of patch 1.64 as PMC and BAF have always been?

it's being discussed but no warranty, in theory it may happen after the patch as it's just purely data related problem
