[WIP] Evolution 3

Description:

Evolution 3 is a thirty-two player cooperative mission for Altis and Stratis island, based on the classic

ArmA (Armed Assault) Evolution mission by KilJoy. The mission has been built from scratch, with all scripts

and code created by myself. Your priority task is to locate and destroy the Communications Tower in the AO.

Whilst it is active, enemy forces will use it to call for reinforcements. Heavy AA has been put in place to

neutralize any air threats. There are two optional tasks... Officer and POWs.

Some of the features of the mission are:

Rank System (for weapons, statics, vehicles, etc)

New Revive System + Respawn Point Option

Mobile HQs (Ground and Air)

FARPs

Teleport

New UIs

AI Recruitment

Payload Support (Ammo Drop, Static Drop, Vehicle Drop, CAS, Smokescreen, Etc)

Client Settings (View Distance, Terrain Detail, Etc)

Persistent Saving (for client settings, etc)

Assignments aka Side Missions (per group, requested by leader)

Earplugs (lower game volume)

Intro

Outro

Class Role Build Actions (Sandbag, MG, GL, AT, AA, MASH, FARP)

Point System (for transporting players and AI, Officer and POWs)

HALO

Player and Vehicle Markers

Player Tags

Highly Configurable (lots of parameters for server admins)

Improved AI System (auto man empty statics/vehicles, steal weapons from dead bodies, etc)

Hi haze long time ago i heard from you, all alright ?

Its reads really nice.

Will there be a taskforce/acre support and mayby an parameter for the upcoming ace3 ?

Will it be possible to easy port the mission to other maps ?

Superb to hear Evolution is back. It was unreal good mod in ArmA1. Cant wait to try it.

I am looking for some feedback for the T Menu UI. Note: The green will change to your profile's colour and the "Build MASH" will automatically change to your role's build option.

Did'nt think Evolution would ever see the lite of day in ArmA3 now we got 2 versions coming... awsomeness.:D maybe 3 if'n Eggbeast picks his back up.

Nice to see some Evo options finally.

Looking good there Hazmat. Nice build special button.

Maybe a semitransparent black background for the U.I. since its rather large? Just an Idea.

I am still working on the project. The main core is pretty much done so it is just extras that I am doing now... Revive is the main one and THEBUCKFASTWINE has done a recording of what I have so far. It'll be uploaded soon.

That video was "alpha 1" version. A few bugs to fix and a few things to add/change, it is still WIP... Change log for "alpha 2" so far:

[Feature] Added: Unconscious AI will now bleedout after 99.9 seconds.

[Feature] Added: Unconscious AI will now request help from nearby medics.

[Feature] Changed: The 'Nearby medics:' will now display up to three names which are sorted by distance, starting with nearest.

[bug] Fixed: The Progress Bar will no longer show for other players when you are being revived by an AI.

[bug] Fixed: 'Previous unit' button.

[bug] Fixed: 'Next unit' button.

Update:

Lots of progress made. I've mainly been working on my own virtual ammo box system called "Virtual Inventory" but have made lots of progress on other things too. "Virtual Inventory" video coming soon!

This simple UI is to ease the handling of weaponry and other equipment in my upcoming project, Evolution 3. This is still a WIP and has some issues which I am aware of however, the video was just a little demonstration of how it currently works and looks. Nothing is final. More to come! Stay tuned...

Hey Haz coming along!

Are you going to be doing something like VAS did where you can choose your gear, save it and create a loadout profile, as imo that would be ideal otherwise

you would have to pic all your weapons/gear everytime you died, unless you have save loadout script/code running in the mission.

Lastly didn't you mention to me once on steam that you will have something where you can change the enemy you fight through a script?

Kinda like VAS but not as good as that does other things like supports mods automatically, etc... :P
