a story from the USA: Dude get's banned off campus because a girl said he looked similiar to the man who raped her a few weeks before. Without asking HIM anything.

a story out of my life in Germany: a few years ago I got kicked off an internship at a "replacement family" facility, where they put kids that are taken away from drug addict, alcoholic, psychotic parents. Another intern, a girl, asked me to do something in a not-very-nice tone so I just calmly told her: "Nope, not gonna happen with that tone." She got loud, argued that I think I can do what I want because I am a man and went out of the room. Crazy bitch. Anyway, 2 weeks later I was kicked off and the people reponsible said my actions were a "verbal sexual assault" in which I stubbornly wanted to keep my male dominance. Jesus, the fucked up minds of these people. Anyway, I was off the job because females are more often than not considered "weaker" and believed faster, than men.

I am pissed at modern feminism. The world in the highly developed countries (germany, USA etc.) is already pretty equal and women have even more possibilities than men in some cases (in Germany some companies get a prestige bonus, when a certan percentage of their employees are women), but even Obama said that for the EXACT SAME WORK women earn 77cent on a dollar a man earns, which is utter bullshit.

A problem I see is that many companies will hire a woman if her skills are equal, or even lower than that of a male, simply because of some quota.

They're just like any other extremist: we're viewed as equals as long as we agree with them but as soon as a person's view deviates they're viewed as 'less' and anything goes to 'discredit' or worse, stop them.

Academic feminism is what's usually taking the forefront in these discussions, and it's a bankrupt Ideology. It ignores problems of race, class while focusing on often mushy and scientifically unsound Ideas about gender. I am completely for the inclusion of female characters in Arma 3 because females make up 50 % of the human species. But generally, academic, middle class, white people feminism is a kind of misandry.

For example, there are feminists who claim that males cannot be victims of sexual assault or spousal abuse in relationships. Which is wrong. They also deny that such a thing as a sexual drive exists and that any kind of sexual objectification (or even an innocent glance) is actual violence. But people objectify each other all the time, in all societies, no matter their age or their gender.

These people also deny that transgendered people should be considered whatever gender they perceive themselves as because it is "gender appropriation". Similarily, sexuality in general is viewed in extremely strict, conservative contexts. In this worldview, all men are bad, all the time, while all women are above scrutiny. Good example is the recent gamergate debacle which was completely hijacked by "feminist" ideologues, while completely ignoring the original issue that gamergate was about (ie, bad press practices).

I used to be very much in tune with these people, but the more I hop around on tumblr, the more I read about human psychology and about the human condition, the more I feel like these people are as out of touch with reality as free market libertarians, NWO believers and oldschool communists.

Said that, I'm against any "positive discrimination". Gender equality is simple: Men and women are different, it's a scientific fact, but they should be equal in rights.

For instance, why should firefighter tests for women be easier if in real life fire doesn't care about genders.

The funny fact is that we only use positive discrimination in favor of women, but even tho women are scientifically better at studying, men don't have easier exams.

The fair solution is easy, don't discriminate positively per gender but select the ones that have better skills for certain jobs.

That isn't gender equality though. As others have said, that is gender inequality. You're lowering standards for one person which is not equal treatment. I agree with him that if you can't do the job you shouldn't be able to do it (he did go about it in a bit of an asshole way though. Frankly he sounds somewhat sexist to me). However, if there is a woman who can do the same job just as well or better than a man could I am all for them being there. I don't fully get his whole fireman thing though. It just comes down to accuracy. If there is a woman on the team she is not a fireman because she is not a man so calling them firefighters is more accurate. If there was a group of women who fought fires they would be firewomen. A group of men would be firemen and a mixed group would be firefighters (or firepeople). At the same time I also view that as a bunch of people who just don't want to change their ways. If a woman firefighter doesn't want to be called a fireman, why would you call her that? Call her a firewoman. Is that really so difficult?

Whoops, I totally made a mistake there. You are right, my first post was not clear enough. Of course I am only bitching about the highly developed countries, first post edited. :) I also agree about the tests having the same difficulty for each gender. I was in the German army and girls had easier physical tests. I understand girls having easier sports tests in school but when it comes to a job the skills of men and women should be the same or at least very similiar.

Firstly, men and women are physiologically different and thus cannot be run through the same physical testing regime. Limb for limb, a woman is not as strong as a man, when both are of equal fitness and otherwise completely average. Psychologically, they are also slightly different but not enough to warrant differing tests. Psychological tests are also kind of mushy, and one has to consider than women in "men's jobs" often face increased scrutiny and generally higher stress levels that affect their performance.

The expectation of success or failure affects the results. An example is a test made in the US, afaik, where two equally rated groups of whites and blacks were run through a school type of test (college level, if I remember correctly, but that's not really important for the results.).

One set was given the test without having to declare their color of skin, in this set both groups fared equally well.

The second set had to declare color of skin in their tests. This immediately raises the notion that somehow, skin color is important to the test, why else would the testers put it in there? This group had a statistically marked difference between whites and blacks, blacks scoring worse. Not because they -were- worse, but because they felt they were normalized to being worse in their minds, simply by having to mention their skin color.

This also goes, secondly, towards the second point. You cannot have easier tests for men because of flawed perceptions, because the reasons for the differing results between men and women go -far- beyond plumbing and instead are also affected by class, race, gender roles as well as personal aspirations of the individual within their given surroundings.

Another thing that is important is that in our society, women can completely forego their classical role of childbearing and rearing in favor of excelling at whatever physical or intellectual profession they chose for themselves. We have the equipment, the knowledge and the time to adapt our bodies within very broad ranges, and there is -nil- reason why people should be excluded from any profession if they can meet an acceptable standard.

For example, the german KSK is allowing women to participate in their selection tests. Because of the extreme levels of performance demanded by the type of work the KSK does, women have to face exactly the same test as their male counterparts do. However, the KSK is not the police, where you can adapt your selection tests to sex specific average performance profiles for the sake of increasing your selection pool.

This can be intelligently done, and is necessary, because equality no matter what sex or gender a person is.

Misandry is a no go, though, and that is what academic, radical feminists are about. They are crazy woo, out of touch with the real world, but they unfortunately are extremely noisy and are well connected. Only things that help against them are self consciousness (Am I sure that they are the asshole and it's not me), humbleness, love for your fellow human being (provided they do not want to wreck you.) and consideration that even Idiots are allowed to make their position known. Everybody needs a hobby, unfortunately, radfems picked one that is ultimately detrimental to the discourse between women and men as well as class and race. Countering them with practicing sexism and misogyny makes one as bad as they are, though.

yes, physical, no pull-up, chin-up on exam, no other parts on exam,

when i was going to police 13 years ago differences were also such big, man had to pull-up (if it is correct in English) several times to go further, women didn't have to do it,

also throwing medical ball (heavy football ball) was other, i don't remember but in army probably it is similar,

so everyone wants to be policeman or solider - state gives you accomodation and you can retire 20 years before others, now even 27 years earlier (67 vs 39 if you go to police or army after highschool which is fucked up, but state needs dogs to bite protesters when finally riots and revolution will come)

of course they do not want to go to street, but to bureau,

than 39 and retired while others have to pay taxes and work till 67...

While reading Connie's heartbreaking story about how "women had enough" I realized that she and her minions don't even care about the (flawed) idea of feminism. to man they were trying to hide reason they not dated someone, to female they were saying "but look at his ugly face" and of course next day they were "looking for honest , inteligent, not drinking, caring, sincere and educated male, because it is most important what is in your heart, not in your look, cause body is not most important"... which meant THEIR body is not most important cause they can be flat (no boobs) or fat but you must be looking like super model,

this is what feminims made - twisted all traditional values of our culture with hypocrisy,

some women i met in life also were saying that "they can read IQ from somebodys look and IQ test has nothing to do with intleligence" and of course they believe that any psychological science is useless,

western political correcness is bringing our civilisation to end because we capsized so much tradition, than our own people look for tradition in other civilisations, because nature goes to equilibrium and every pendulum show that if it is pushed too much to left side - it returns to right side, because we started to go into extreme left (Swedish example when White males were rejected to apply for job cause they are White and they are males, not looking if they have skills to do that job),

feminists hate science cause such "psychological research on dating websites" shown that women say A but they think B , science is dangerous cause it shows that feminists are just bunch of frustrated femi-nazis who look for superiority and money without need to work or educate, and if case if they get pregnant on party or in club - than you should pay high taxes to fund her benefits,

in my country some feminists call themselves "profesor" but ... they just have Master Degree , it is really weird when they use title "profesor" among themselves in direction of women who just have graduated Master thesis,

i agree that this is not funny cause one day we may wake up in world in which male will have to graduate university to get MSc but woman will get this title without going to primary school - and this is what feminists aim,

science should be free of any barriers, even if result of researches show things that some groups may find offensive, because we are not equal, we just should have equal chances to study (i am for free of charge education) and just it depends if we work hard or not for succes in life and good salary,

if someone prefers dancing at parties instead of hard education - than he/she should not moan and demand salary which has person who studied hard, and this simply rule feminists try to destroy,

i know personally doctor (PhD) of medicine, who says that women should not have rights, maybe it is hardcore, but this person has PhD, works in medicine for 2 decades,

i do not know if it is true - but he told the that women vote in election on politician who is taller and handsome, not on program of political party,

i do not know such results nor researches - i am not specialist in it, but it was told by person who has PhD in medicine

from my private observation among women in my family or job - lots of them indeed votes for party X, but they prefere program of party Y,

when asked why she doesn't vote party Y , if she prefers their program - she answers "lider of this party is ugly short bastard" (Polish leader of right wing opposition has over 5 feet, while previous leader of mainstream was circa 6 feet)

now right wing president won in elections, but he is taller and more handsome than current president and in young days he was very handsome,

so question is - does voters (women) vote for PROGRAM of party, or on face, size, body of politician who rule us ?

there are also scientific proofs that women as judge gives bigger sentence to not handsome criminal but gives small sentence to criminal who is handsome even if he commited much worse crime than previous one, because sexual temptation is blinding brain, probably the same could work if male judge would be sentencing woman criminal, but women are less present in violence so less women meet policemen,

maybe we should have law that says that heterosexual male can judge male, heterosexual women can judge women cases, i do not know, but sexual temptation when judging people can play role (to get job too)

and very big problem with treating people equally is if we find those people sexually atractive or not,
