(Co30) Evolution-A3

Hello sir,

 

Thank you so much for this, Evolution was my first mission played on Arma and is still my favorite one I have played. The coop online was so fun we had such great night on Arma with them.

 

As suggestions for this mission I would like to know if you could add some mods support or island supports like (RHS and Sarahni for map supports) returning to this would be perfect thank you again.

Add me on steam so you can help test my Sahrani version and soon the Icebreaker stuff!

 

What mods would you all prefer so I don't go overboard?

Thank you for answering back to my question. Thought I must tell you I'm pretty casual for now so my testing will be very limited as I could not get a hand on my gaming computer for some times actually but I will add you as soon as I can get into testing stuff.

 

For mods thinking about RHS which is very common use and could allow both side (Evo blue , Evo Red), maybe ACE for people really into it but the healing system is very different so its may require a lot of changes. For the rest I really don't know I use only sound mods and visuals mods after that so I think its pretty much it but that my opinion.

 

ps : What Sarahni version do you use Community upgrade project or AiA TP ?

I've got a beta version running now of RHS assets on Sahrani. I was using Sahrani Rearmed, which was awesome as it was the actual units brought up to A3 standards, but the quality just isn't right yet. Too many bugs for production. I'm using CUP Terrains, but it should work for any version of Sahrani as long as you change the extension to match.

Hey Kolmain, Are you still working on your Evo Mission? It is pretty cool but I have seen some bugs and issues as well as i would like to leave some feedback for improvement. I'm not skilled enough to pull apart the mission and make the changes myself (I've Tried).

Has anyone had any issues using the Hemtt repair, fuel, or ammo?  Even when I'm a repair specialist and at the rank of Colonel I still get kicked out for not being qualified to operate the vehicle. Went through all the mission files can't pinpoint what could be happening.

Hi all,

 

I've stumbled upon CUP's AWESOME new ArmA assets and finally got around to working them into Evolution. I have a development version ready with CUP assets, but I need to finish scripting the classnames and figure out why my chopper won't land sometimes!!

Actually good but very unilaterally!

 

we play again [MP][CTI-COOP] Liberation (beta) it is considerably more extensive.

Did u keep armor units out of the initial Sahrani version? Also somthing wierd going on with the KA's.(this is all from me just hosting in mp off my pc. Had alot of fun running around in my old hiding spots in Paraiso, :D

There is a server that is running it and it is awesome. I cant remember the name but is the only server running this and 3 of us are going to play it tonight if anyone wants to join. Should be around 20:00 pst tonight there will be at least 2 or 3 of us.

Just do a search on coop evolution blue.

 

This brings back so much memories.

 

The Ai is very nice and challenging though some tweaks need to be made but it is already great!

 

I feel like it has so much potential, its a shame its not exploded by now.

Can't wait to see this on Tanoa :P  I got my ArmA3 server back and seen that there was option install Cup so if'n I cant get missions to run on Tanoa I'll switch back to stable an host Sahrani Evo(til Apex releases at least) :D

Whats the server? I currently only find one running sahrani evo

Had to switch providers and current one does'nt have option to upload CUP 8( Hopefully we'll see a Tanoa Evo after Apex release.

Let me start by saying how grateful we are that you revived the Sahrani version of this incredible mission. Thank you!

It's fantastic to be able to run around the familiar old area with the familiar old weapons and vehicles.

 

Here is our feedback so far:

1. FARP's seem to be broken. The tent spawns but it doesn't service vehicles, nor can one rearm or access the Arsenal there.

2. Side missions don't spawn, and there doesn't seem to be a way to request them manually.

3. There needs to be a light inside the hangar at base. New spawns literally can't see anything if they join at night.

4. We cleared the first three towns last night and did not encounter any armor at all. No BRDMs, no BMPs, no tanks. We only saw UAZs, trucks, helicopters and jets.

 

Smaller issues:

5. At the rank that you unlock the M24 (Sgt, I think) you don't have access to a marksman sight, only the ACOG.

6. The cleanup script for the unarmed vehicles (Hummers and Littlebirds) seems to be a tad aggressive. Same for the dead bodies.

 

Aside from that, we did not encounter any performance issues. On the contrary, it ran very smoothly.

 

Looking forward to further iterations!

I can concur with Bullet's findings.

 

Also I did notice that some of the Ei disappear instantly after you kill them.

If I recall the original evo had it perfect where some if not most would disappear fairly quick to prevent lag but some would stay much longer to give the feeling of persistence and also you could be resourceful and use their assets.

 

As for armor I did notice it gets pretty heavy over time starting by the 3rd liberated town we noticed Shilkas and by the 4rth T72's mixed in.

I would tone down the heavy air until the map is maybe half complete then unleash and maybe put much more Technical's near the beginning to make us feel more manly and let the noobs gain confidence as it gets harder =D

 

Still a great effort nonetheless!
