ProfTournesol 956 Posted May 7, 2015 Rest assured the tank is flawless and perfect, only driver was too inept to handle this wunderwaffe :D :D :Dhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeJzuo2TsfM Haha yes, Lada's engine ?
astral4eg 10 Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) Haha yes, Lada's engine ? No, X engine by Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant :) In this article described in detail probable cause translated by google ...Stop the tank "Armata" on Red Square provoked a strong reaction from the public. Immediately there was a lot of enemies who are ready to pour the new Russian developments mud. Meanwhile, this case more of a psychological, from the category of what is called "general's effect", and the technique has nothing to do, except that forced designers to improve "foolproof."... ...Time to prepare for the management of such a new and complex machine was given very little. Despite the fact that much of the "Armata" automated, and thus, as it were simplified, still requires addictive and development of skills. From driving in columns - even more so. Because the machine has a redundant power density, giving it a crazy dynamics. Just push ... and forged ahead, braked - pecked nose - behind. Actually what happened - a small peregazovkoy - tank jerked forward, then abruptly brake - he stood up and stalled. Moreover, in one of the videos, it is noticeable that the same leap was not walking in front of the tank, not in the fact that a number. Embark on among Red Square, to the Minister and lots of cameras ... and how you would, it appear in place of the driver itself felt? The guy panicked, I began to put pressure on and grab everything they can reach - lights, wipers, kondishen ... As a result, , he did not see how to put the tank on the exhaust brake. It therefore could not pull off from the place, "Armata" approached "tow truck" - BREM-1. The video is clearly seen as the last polishes his Tracians paving and T-14 at the same time like a rose, and a stake worth The specialists of "Uralvagonzavod" could not immediately be stopped at the tank, but when there were then very quickly realized what was happening. I got on the "cap" and the carrier, and the one who gave the team so badly to haul a tank in tow - it could screw up with the transmission! "Uvezovtsy" no problems with the brake lifted the tank and started. All just as soon after the incident described in social networks Deputy General Director Alexei Zharich Corporation. The only thing that took some time, what would understand that there was an on / off and control electronics cause the tank to its original state... Incidentally latest model Lada engines quite a good, but I personally prefer the Japanese 1jz :) Edited May 7, 2015 by astral4eg
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted May 7, 2015 Finally found a decent pic of what's in that void on the left-side of the turret (thumbnail): Definitely looks like the ejection port for the 125mm main gun casings From this walkaround with lots of great angles of T-14 and T-15: http://saidpvo.livejournal.com/403612.html

mistyronin 1181 Posted May 9, 2015 Final part of the parade with military technics Each year when I watch the parade I wonder why it isn't forbidden in Russia the red flag with the hammer and the sickle, as it's a symbol of oppression in all Eastern Europe as the Swastika is (well even worst if we check the historical accounts). It's like if Germany did a parade each year with Third Reich flags and symbols. Celebrating how they "liberated Europe" from capitalism. In any case, nice toys, the Armata family is really interesting (tho undone). If you want to go directly to the Armata go to 1:02:00.

Sub-Human 10 Posted May 9, 2015 Final part of the parade with military technics Disgusting war propaganda. No mention of the 10.5 million Red Army soldiers who had been killed, and at least twice that number of civilians. Putin is making 9th May a commercial holiday. Happy marching faces, Georgian ribbons (not even used by the Soviet Union, absolutely fecking disgusting), commentator talking about 'brave Soviet soldiers'. Always showing Putin's face, as if he's responsible for the Victory. wow, what happened there? Engine broke down. Luckily nothing serious happened, it got towed away I believe. sudayev 27 Posted May 9, 2015 Why it's side panels are so bulky? By the way do you think If Saddam Hussein had lived (assuming 2003 invasion didn't happen), would he be invited to Victory Parade in Moscow?
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted May 9, 2015 Why it's side panels are so bulky? Because it's effective at stopping HEAT penetrators. Inside the blocks, the armour is most likely arranged in layers like this written off Mastiff. The voids between layers are either left empty (spaced armour) or filled with an inert compound that absorbs energy (NERA). Having those voids to absorb/dissipate energy into, requires increasing the volume. However, it's cheaper and weighs less than most other kinds of armour and has a couple of other advantages in certain applications. By the way do you think If Saddam Hussein had lived (assuming 2003 invasion didn't happen), would he be invited to Victory Parade in Moscow? Would probably depend on whether they invited any delegations from Iran and Syria (Russia's most important friends in the ME). Saddam Hussein's relationship with those two neighbouring countries wasn't exactly great
