Is this a new start of TEI or totally a new mod?I was confused.

Anyway this project looks great and I would wait it release.Cheers.

That is what I supposed.

Also why is the Grizzly not in that list? Is there any reason for it?

Holy... That planned assets list is soo huge! It is more than half than TEI, EPIC WIN.

About the halo wars falcon, in TEI it was: FA-78 "Gladius" Manned Fighter ("Falcon" fighter from Halo Wars) , you can keep that name or change it to something like Eagle or Katana, it ould be strange to have 2 falcons.

No M850 Main Battle Tank ''Grizzly''? Why not? I mean, you even added the Vulture in that list which is the most OP vehicle the unsc could have lol Why something that has 2 120 mm cannons and it is a main battle tank would not be added?

Some comments regarding vehicle list:

GA-TL1 "Longsword" Bomber/CAS (Its so big I cant wait to see it in arma, VTOL right?)

AH-144 "Falcon" Transport (Nice to see it textured, though what weapons will it have at the end?)

AV-14 "Hornet" CAS (Litlebird of the future, it had to happen)

F99 "Wombat" (Its going to be nice to se an air superiority drone in arma 3)

AV-22 “Sparrowhawk†(Oh yes finally a proper gunship!)

AC-220 “Vulture†(This thing is the AC-130 of the future, I'm surprised you wanted to add it, covenant mod is going to need scarabs)

D96-TCE “Albatross†(Look at the http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/D82-EST_Darter they look very similar, sine the albatross is from halo 2 I think you could ''redesign'' it a little, darter is a good reference))

B-65 "Shortsword" (Not sure if this is necessary as we already have quite a lot of aircrafts, but its nice to see more halo wars vehicles. The longsword is already CAS/Bomber, I don't see a need of this one)

Falcon (fighter jet) (Gladius, katana, eagle... Look at the beginning of my post)

M808B "Scorpion" (105 mm gun)

M808B2 “Sun Devil†(Twin 40 mm autocannons, its going to be useful even as AA)

M808B3 “Tarantula†(I did not know UNSC had MLRS, very nice)

M97 "Cougar" (Hell yeah! At least this protects passengers from firearms unlike the warthog)

SP42 "Cobra" (While its a cool vehicle, i'm not sure it would work well in arma 3, it has 2 firemodes and 1 is static, im not sure it could work as a proper artillery in arma 3)

M312 "Elephant" (That is big! I can see this vehicle as a command one and used to deploy HQs, lots of armor)

M274 "Mongoose" (Although we have an ATV in arma 3 already this is a must too)

M9 “Wolverine†(Indeed we need something more powerful than the AA warthog)

M179 Fox Cannon (This I think that would be a better option in arma 3 than the Rhino or cobra, it should be added IMO)

Overall I'm quite happy with the planned assets, and you added so many complex stuff that I'm surprised you did not add the grizzly since it is a main battle tank, scorpion is more lighter. You even added the vulture which is OP and a shortsword when the longsword already fills the role. And a prowler and corvette apart from the frigate, those things are quite huge too. you are quite ambitious, aren't you? :)

About ODSTS having a Reach approach,, I agree their camo is still quite dark and it looks much cooler IMO.

I also took a look at the other stuff such as the new devices/weapons, pretty cool, I did not know most of them. Though I have some questions:

Flares: What kind of flares? Air countermeasures? Or for signalling/illumination purposes? They both are already in arma 3, you want to make custom models and effects for them? What about smoke grenades? http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Smoke_grenade

Concussion grenades niice! also are flashbangs grenades possible in arma? I think ive never seem them. http://www.halopedia.org/Flashbang_grenade

Napalm grenades, that is something I'm looking for too.

C-12 shaped charge, looks like its time to sneak around vehicles and blow them up. Battlefield ''jeep stuff'' if you know what I mean.

M168 demolition charge, structures and buildings are going to fall quite easy.

H165 Target Locator that is going to work like laser I suppose. designate air and artillery strikes. Binoculars?

M7057 Defoliant Projector: Flamethrowers in arma 3? Everyone is doomed lol Hope the fire does not lag the game.

So Scorpion , Pelican and falcon are going to use those? I thought you guys were going to use the one from halo 2 as planned before.

Problem is, we've never actually seen a pair of NVGs in the Halo universe at all. Just night vision for MJOLNIR helmets and VISR for ODSTs, and a night vision scope for the SRS99. That base plate could simply be an aesthetic addition by the artists. I don't think it really matters though, I'm not sure what alternatives to traditional NV could be given to basic units.

Back to the armor variants though. Could this possibly be applied to the ODSTs as well? On the former thread, the discussion of whether the ODSTs should look like the ones from Reach or from Halo 3 was brought up but I don't know if it ever concluded. Perhaps the different regiments could also solve this issue as well.

I wonder that if they"ll stick to the Reach aesthetic, maybe they could get extra stuff from H:CEA? They both already have a very similar aesthetic, just with some slightly different things.

The planned assets is for what things they plan to add to the mod. They"ll probably tweak what's already in game.

The armor is the same, If not a little older looking in the helmet (Funny cause all the halo games take place in 2552, except halo Wars that took place in 2531, and 4 in 2557). The Major difference is in the Fatigues, The ODST wear pretty much the same fatigues the Air Force and Marines do in Halo: Reach, (That being the Vacuumed sealed ones) over the ones Used by the Army.

They're probably working that out, but NMPD & Colonial Militia will likely be a thing. I figure it's low on the priority list right now though.

Hence why I brought up the base plate that you see on Halo: Reach and Halo:CE Anniversary on the helmets, clearly meant to carry NVGs, luckily when you use the Vanilla Arma3 NVGs, it puts a base plate on the helmet

Thats not official concept art, but nothing was stopping you from using NVGs in the first place.

I won't lie, I always did when I played TEI with 5th fleet, always upset those guys.

As stated in Halo: New Blood, when Gunny Sergeant Edward Buck from Halo 3:ODST became a Spartan IV, he commented in getting new neural implants that allowed him to see in the dark without the need of optics like the Helmet or NVGs which he never had when he was an ODST

It is very possible that these optics may allow the army / Marine troopers to see in the dark

It's 540 years in the future, it is possible that those Items, Not only giving troopers HUDs, also may allow for NVG capability.

Why also when I played the TEI mod, when I used the tactical glasses, I would use the "neural Implant" and pretend it's the Tac glasses giving me NVG capability

Now we have a ton of solid reference photos and eye candy :) I must say that I personally prefer if the soldiers in Operation Trebuchet used Bungie's camo rather than DPM since it would be more faithful to the original design and a little less off-putting.

Just wait and see, camo changes have already been confirmed, when you'll see them, thats for us devs to talk about(gotta have dem ONI permissions), as retexturing the uniforms are not top priority (although i have been working on it in my free time)

What exactly is your issue? I've heard nothing but good things about it. If it's regarding the VTOL, that simply isn't happening.

My only critique thus far is the bulkiness of the ODST armour. When that's tighter with a few pouches and some nice camos, the ODSTs will be oo la la
