[Early WIP] Southern Wardak Province, Afghanistan

Update:

* Finished the airport, ILS landing works perfect. Just a few bumps and unelevated areas on the runway that needs to be smoothed

* New towns and patrol paths placed

* Fixed a few misplaced and floating objects

* Added more crop fields

* More pictures coming soon of my progress so far

* Alpha version to be released soon :cool:

Update:

* Fixed map name (Before my map name was just blank)

* Finished airport / airfield and smoothed the runway of bumps

*Airfield / airport taxi and runway lights working. PAPI lights will be functional as well

* Early alpha release coming soon

Terrain errors:

* Can't get the grass clutter to work

NOTE: The airfield has 2 runways. One is for planes (The long runway) and the other is for helicopters (The small runway).

Thanks, my unit has already done a mini-op on here to test the AI path finding, and all I can say is the dense tree lines make firefights extended and more challenging, and the AI pathfinding is very good, surprisingly.

I was hoping that today I would have been releasing the early alpha version of this terrain, but I can't due to the stupid clutter won't work. Frustration at max level with clutter :mad:

If anyone has any solution or fixes to my configs which I will have a link to below, I would appreciate it, as I would love to release the alpha version atleast with better detail than just trees, bushes, rocks and buildings.

Terrain update:

* Added more compounds and foliage lines

* Added more plantation areas

* Fixed clutter issues, clutter is now working

* Smoothed out the runway

* v1.0 Alpha release :yay:

Features so far:

* Airfield with working ILS and working PAPI lights for final approach landings

* Extensive runway, easy for C17's and C130's to take off and land.

* About 98% buildings enterable, maybe 100%

* 2 FOB's FOB Raider (Airfield) and FOB Eagle (Mountain FOB)

* 2 paved roads mainly for transport to FOB Raider and FOB Eagle and to the edges of the map

* Multiple dirt roads and foot patrol paths

* Small villages and rural plantation fields

WIP / To do list:

* Align roads with bridges

* Touch up on a few foliage and rocks (As some are facing the same way)

* Touch up and add objects in a few compounds so it doesn't seem deserted

* Change a few of the clutter models to more desert like clutter

* Place COPs (Combat Outposts)

* Create town names on map

* Fix grid issues (You have to zoom in really close to see the 6 digit grids)

Since this is Alpha release don't expect it to be beautiful :o

As a this is my first time with terrain builder and buldozer, I am experimenting with a few designs and layouts.

If you have any recommendations please feel free to speak them, as I am a very open person to opinions and inputs for this terrain :D

Showcasing only 3 of the 6 new areas recently added. The video does not show all of the new added towns and features, that you will have to explore your self :)
