Timasaurus007 10 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) MATO is a Oceanic casual ArmA 3 group formed in early 2015. Our aim is to provide a non age limited, Australian platform for casual ArmA 3 gameplay with a focus on mateship and socialising. There are no ranks and MATO undertakes a variety of roles in terms of gameplay such as OPFOR, Airborne, Irregular forces and has many others. We have a monthly theme system where we have missions follow a storyline or theme decided at the start of the month that is between all active members. MATO is based in UTC +10 (AEST). Name MATO (mate) is a play on words of NATO. "MATO" is meant to add a touch of regionalisation (Australia). Theme Decided each theme end (or month) by the members. The theme determines the type of missions and style of deployment we will be doing. e.g"Terrorist group fights aganist US/UN/NATO troops and try to dostroy an AF or something" might be on Takistan and use a UN mod. The theme also includes the modpack. Deployment Deployments are the bread and butter of MATO. A deployment must fit in with the month's theme. A deployment has a back story to add roleplaying opportunities A deployment is dynamic. The previous deployment night's outcome decides the objectives for the next deployment. Mission Night Mission nights are played on community or member map missions which fit in to the month's theme. Examples: PvP, 24 hour operation, Border Patrol (TvT), Grand TvT (Deployment style TvT, or Grand Campaign TvT) To gain a Commendation in a role such as AA, you must either show experience or initiative in the role in-game in Operations and Missions (Incl. Community made scenarios), however atleast one Staff Member or Veteran (Not yet introduced) so they can oversee the change. If someone shows experience or initiative in for example AA, they can either ask for the Commendation and a vote will be commenced between the players that interacted with the player, friendlies mainly and if majority vote for the Commendation it will be given. The other way to gain a Commendation is to have two or more Members reccomending you for it out of game in personally. You can't gain a commendation for saying in past units you filled that role and asking for it, if you know how to fill a role then show us.
