Arctic Fox Defense Solutions: The FOB Deployment Specialist

In every major military operation in modern history, men have traveled across the seas to new frontiers.
On these frontiers men have had to adapt to the ever changing climate and harsh living conditions.
Not only does one have to keep the climate at bay, but also the enemy which is there for the same reason as you.
In any conflict zone you will need somewhere to call home. An army without a home is bound to fail before it even start.
Because at the end of the day you are there to kill or be killed. It's a very simple math. No matter how noble your cause.
We intend to ensure the latter never happen to you or your men within the forward operating base if you choose our products.

Forged from the best materials known to man at affordable prices, we offer a wide range of military hardware not seen before.
Regardless of your climate, we will have you covered with every facility needed to sustain life at a high standard of living.
We specialize in giving the end user the best possible packages to fit all your needs in the field.
Battle proven trough many a theater of war. Robust, refined and highly flexible packages made for a specific purpose.
Whatever you can think of needing in, during or after the heat of battle, we will provide you. That's a promise.

I welcome you to Arctic Fox Defense Solutions, where technology and innovation melt together to bring you the best assets available.
What we bring to the table is something new when it comes to ArmA'esque solutions. We want to bring an end to silly systems.
Immersion is the main motivator for this project for me. There are many aspects of vanilla, or even modded ArmA that makes no sense.
Crates with bottomless pits, wireless repairs and rearm with your mind, and other lovely aspects that make no sense at all.
If we can have it our way, it will never be the same again. If you can think of it, we will have an asset for it.
And if we dont have an asset for it, tell us what you would like to see, and we'll most likely create it, as long as its in our category.

Have a look at our spreadsheet to get up to date on what we are doing, and what has been done.

Oh very nice mate :)

Some very swish looking FOB'S in the near future.

Any chance of a nice CnC/TOC style one with monitors and comms equipment?

Just as annoying as bottomless ammo crates are the super PRR's that the world communicates over.

And as in A3 there's no miltary radio set object, to fill out those command centre's. Just some crappy 80's satphone.

Doesn't need to do anything more than look like it can send a message across the globe if need be. :D

Are they going to be covered with cam netting or just plain conntainers?

Looking forward to seeing some textures on them.

These are amazing! Well thought out and incredibly practical. Kudos for taking this on.

Will you allow for retextures giving other units to personalize them? Are there plans to animate doors etc?

Really looking forward to this.

A CnC/TOC style is defenatly on the roster yes.

As far as retexturing goes that will ofcourse be allowed.

I am intending to have hidden selection spots ready to go for unit logos and such for individualism and what not.

Animation wise doors is a given, and eventually I want to get animations for interaction.

(Aka you walk into the armory, you "open your inventory", and then there will be a animation to draw out and open a box or two etc for immersion reasons)

Generally speaking anything that can increase immersion will be added at some point.

As for "radios", I would think that one can just have set memory points so that a mission maker can place ACRE or TFAR radios...?

Wow - cool idea.

Anyway to get PIP on the drone control crate - could perhaps take a helmet cam feed or vehicle gun cam feed etc... ?

Could be used for CnC ?

Not sure how to as far as radios, but that would be freaking awesome.

Set it on speaker and set them all up.. looking forward to that if it is possible. Know it works for vehicles, not sure how it is for buildings ( not like anyone has tried so..)

But yeah, i'll throw in some memory points if that is what it takes. We have dedicated signalers that will actually use it as such so would be neat.

The idea is to have some kind of PIP compability, I just need to take a master class from our fellow 51SB guy Burnes first.

But yeah, depending on your mods some kind of feed is what I am hoping for.

Probably make the seats useable as well so people can sit down and then remotely go in to whatever they do. Immersion and all.

Edit: Forgot to ad, yes it is initself a CnC capable facility, but there will also be one made for that only, and will be made out of 1 large and 2 smaller containers like the medical crate.

You shouldn't have to do all the set up or make AFDS Field Cargo Crates dependent on ACRE/TFAR, just place and name memory points in the model(s) so that mission scripters can attachTo the radios to those memory points.

Tonights session. Based upon a deployment version with a few extras added.

Medical Crate

So your buddy is badly injured. Medevac is coming into a hot LZ to get him out.

After a brief flight to stabilize the patient, the medevac is touchdown base.

Rushed into the medical crate and your patients chances have gone from low to high.

Outfitted with everything a skilled surgeon might need to keep someone alive and fix even the most heavily damaged tissue.

@ Ricardo92: If you mean sling-loading, then those crates and whatever else (I'm looking at the field medical facility primarily) would have to come out to under 4000 kg (the limit for the Ghost Hawk and Mohawk) or 10000-12000 kg (the limits for the Huron and Taru families).

Great looking concept there AFDS. Can't wait to get them into the field.

@ Ricardo92

It is entirely possible that perhaps one or two of these would be under the weight limit.. But that would only be the case if you used a Sikorsky CH-54.

We do kinda have that ingame with the Taru, though what looks like a smaller version.

Generic crate im sure you would be able to lift with the Taru and even possibly the Mohawk.

Everthing over that however I highly doubt it. :)

AFDS would you consider creating other crates such as a field kitchen, a shower/toilet block and a barracks. I think items like these are missing from the immersion of the game as well.

After a long day in the field you could return to base camp, dump your gear in your quarters then hit the showers before enjoying the fine cuisine prepared in the field kitchen. Just a thought.

@Wansec_6

Most defenatly.

Actually have refrence material for both of those things.

Command and Control Crate

Regardless of the mission you are sent out on, you need to have someone to command it all.

That's where the CnC Crate comes in. We provide commanders with the assets needed to win a war.

With the ability to house a small army of communications personel as well as enough

computing power to keep you one step ahead of the enemy every.single.time.

Started tidying up some aspects and given detail to the drone ground control module.
Sadly some details will be lost due to horrible 100kb limit on pictures.. Going from 1440p down to basically 720p does kinda reduce the overall. ;)
