WW2 warships release on arma3 engine

One last question. What types of things are being worked on with this? From what I know these were in Arma 2 if I am right and being ported and fixed for Arma 3. Is it going to be overall improved? And thanks for the responses. Much appreciation.

@cervantes ... just curious mate ... what are the models you want to have for your mod ? I can't say that I'll help right now as I need to complete my mod (ships) but knowing that ... who knows ... maybe when I'll have the time ... :)

Sir BadNade all news is on this topic :)

 

i have add only a type 7c with original naval deck gun and enhancing the models with news animations 

and ambiant life with fishing boats type 

and others features and try to finich to export all contents fro arma2 mods with dificulty for some scripts and config.

 

hi Aplion this mod required more cargos ships and one us or english destroyer i think for a better dificulty for attack convoys :)

Can you clarify what type of destroyer (English or US) ?

If I can suggest one ship; it would be the River-Class Frigate! used for the purpose of anti-submarine convoy escorts.
And as luck would have it, I live near Brisbane, QLD, Australia! where one of the last is dry-docked as a museum! so just ask I can get current reference material. if need be!

(been meaning to pay it a visit anyway!)

The thing about the Hunt class though is that it was used in escort missions quite often so in this case I would say that the Hunt would be best for these convoy like missions when using one of the U-boats.

And when it says personal use only would it be refering to being used in games that needs to be paid for or in general?

There also seems to be quite a few models from world of warships. If it is possible for those models to be used I think all you'd have to do for them is to rig them, and code whatever needs to be done. Maybe even add some custom stuff in there for a another one of the name classed ships. If this became a full on mod for warships then it would be pretty awesome to get some units made based on this stuff. Honestly I don't know how hard it is to rig a carrier but CV like the Bogue, Zuikaku, and Enterprise but the severe lack of naval craft in Arma is just sad. This mod does add to the WW2 aspect for sure.

Lol you c'ant use this models 100k vertices do not supporting by the engine ^^

 

But is one good exemple models for working a low poly models destroyers for arma3 :)

Personal use means you cannot publish it in any way. 

All you can do is take a Screenshot of it, but you can't even publish this Screenshot. 

These models are stolen from Word of Warships, you're not allowed to use them in any way. Same for all models you find on that website.

You can use such high poly models in Arma, it can even handle 250k faces, but you'd need to split it into proxies, which you'd have to do anyway, as the model is bigger than 50m and Arma only supports 50x50m or was it 100x100m? Anyway, the ship seems to be too big. 

 

But again, you can't use any of these models and you shouldn't even consider these in any way.

for this project you can't :)

 

i need all parts on the same model and not proxy parts because deepth charges launchers animations can't works if the parts is on proxy :)

If you named your proxy same as on its p3d name and state this as selection into model.cfg ... the animations will work fine.

 

Example: suppose that you have a proxy (torpedoTube.p3d) ... into your main model you can name this proxy as "torpedoTube" plus state into model.cfg this selection using "torpedoTube" name ... then you can set your animation for this part and it will work. At least on most cases but you can try it.

Here's another destroyer from the British. The Town class Destroyer. It is a pretty common destroyer and they started production in 18935 or something like that.

When it comes to adding another ship that wasn't originally going to be in the mod you would need to model or the scripting for it? I assume that since you are working on the ships included in the mod currently that it is the scripting you do so I assume you just lack models? And if you ever got the chance do you think you would expand this mod further?
