Maybe Aplion could give some assistance with that. The new update for their ship and submarine mod just came out and use torpedoes. It would be pretty cool to see a mix between. But yeah this mod would most likely have to be in my top 5 once released. A huge fan of naval warfare and the lack of it in arma was just depressing and out of the other 500 mods I got knowing that this will be a thing one day just makes me enjoy arma even more. Even the quirks at times adds more fun to the game... Unless it crashes that is. Quite excited to hear more from you regarding this mod and honestly anything that can expand the WW2 era and naval equipment at that will be amazing.

Hey cervantes sorry to bother you but If you don't mind me asking, whats the name of the song that you used for the main menu (seen in this video of yours:

)? Otherwise thanks for the updates cant wait for the mods release.

Yeah that would work as well. I would love to use this in a unit thing so I think it would need to be posted in steam before they can use it but personally I would love to use it.

Never mind it was youtube being broken for that short period of time. But either way it seems there is a bit more naval related things coming out. Well more like updates, such Aplions HAFM mod and Sabre adding some ships to his mod. I am curious if the compatibility between the two will be nice. If other destroyers or ships aren't added than the closest thing we would have to functioning ww2 vessels would be the ones from Sabre. Now I know Cervantes said he was adding another U-boat with some difficulty so that has my hopes up quite a bit.

I was playing around and got the torpedo to work with one of the new HAFM ships but otherwise it doesnt' work well like you said. And the it seems 3-4 torpedoes sinks any of the ships in the Sabre mod but I may be wrong. Gonna check that out.

You planned on adding a British destroyer and since they typically have depth charges as well do you think you would try doing the same thing with that as the flower class does?

There most likely isn't a direct release date. He still has some stuff to add from the last time I remember him saying anything and probably plans on adding. Not sure until we actually see it.

ok friend I'm just asking this because he has been "adding stuff" for 3 years and nothing even a test for the community. Because of this I ask you a question, can you hope that this mod will be out this year?

I doubt it will be this year. Unless he gets the main things in such as the subs, flower class, liberty, and cargo ship finished and wants to release it as a beta. But otherwise he may want to just get it over with. Sometimes people don't like doing betas because people than complain about bugs when it is still in the works but he may have another reason I don't know about.

Hi guys im really sorry for this long wait.

The beta is not actually playable because im always stuck with uboat torpedoes script.

A Atlantic battle simulation without torpedoes for uboats its same to nothing 😉

I also working 2 others project for A3 i just fixed my wilddboar just this addons is begin 2 years before i finich him^^

I always learn more on this engine and hope one day finich to fix this damned torpedoes.

Or you can write me one new awesome torpedoes script perhaps 🙂

As per our forum rules, please don't ask for release dates. Its considered a form of spam. Remember addon making is hobby to most, content will be released when its ready and not before.

"ty guys 🙂

Chops yes i use actualy a vehicle for torpedoes, because arma engine c'ant simulate torpedoes.

im not sur a missile simulation is one good way for simulate torpedoes because a torpedoes working only on surface or underwater.

vehicle limiting a simulation at surfacing ships sinking and c'ant simulate a submarine vs submarine.

because a setvelocity command c'ant pitch under 0 for move underwater.

and a minimum value on _z axis is 0 (surfacing above water or above ground)

im not sur if arma3 can now working a velocity of object under 0 value for pitch a _z axis of torpedoes.

this is not real problem because during a ww2 u-boats hunting only a surfacing cargos and escorts for try to suffocate a england.

at this date a fight submarine vs submarine is extremly scarce."
Is this the one you are refering to?
