F.O.B VALHALLA

F.O.B VALHALLA is a platoon size base, inspired by a old large Danish batallion size NATO base during the 90'ies war in Bosnia.

This is a base / FOB ment for the community that want a 'real life feel' experience of a base layout. This is dependant of AIA but when feedback drips in, the team will root out possible problems and attempt to provide a Vanilla version as well.

History: During the last years of the bosnian conflict NATO took over a large warehouse that had housed a large transport company and transformed it into a base that had American Artillery , Danish Mechaniced troops and Norvegan medics troops amoungst others.

Layout: The base defences was built around the large building. Inside the large warehouse, all the troops had 3 man sleeping containers mess hall, offices, radioroom, medics, and a basketball court. The remains of the old company were stowed into corners and dissasembled.

The outside was walled off with 'HESCO Bastions' walls with 'fire positions'and groupsized bunkers inside large containers an room for 'fighting vehicals' on the inside of the walls as well. The artillery were outside the walls with 'radar' equipment that could pinpoint any incomming projectiles.

Now the large base has been made smaller so it can be placed in editor with greater ease on flat surfaces. Base is arround 100x100 meters

Heli pad is also on the inside and is a challange to pilots... But doable

Weapons cache is inside main building so you can 'gear up' and be given your PRE-OP orders out of sight of possible enemies.

Spawnpoint and 'options' Boards are outside at the main entrance

There are a walking 'patrol entrance' at the back end of the base

Main entrance should face enemy

I'd hold off on the repost. Maybe report your own post (the little triangle below your name) and say you accidentally posted in the wrong place. The mods will hopefully come along and move it and hopefully tidy up the thread (by removing my replies which will become irrelevant once its moved :D).

Ty mate! and if you got some time and want to make more ... keep 'em coming, we are not going to disagree :P

The desing is so nice, im pretty new @ missions making and placing objets is a pain for me atm, M4RT14L teach me a lot of things and let me use his base templates but i want to learn a little more too. Did u use any 3rd party program to make this? HTH do you place objects @ interiors like that? lol

BOX did it all in the map editor and I came along and placed scripts and sign posts and a little tweaking.. Zeus & MCC and you can save to .sqm and paste it into mission.sqm.

Hey,

I've no problem with the fact that you copy/pasted scripts folders from my mission but you could have asked :

Farooq revive still have a condition to work linked to my mission parameters in your files .

Anyway good work, probably the best fob template for arma 3 yet .

Err me again, when i try to open the mission in editor it tells about missing files ("mas_add_FlagCarriers") what mod is that? "MAS" remember me the one containing NATO / Rus weapons... idk.. help please? and ty in advance guys.

Sorry! That shouldn't have been there.... The mod you need is the USSOCOM 75th Ranger, Navy SEALs DEVGRU and Delta Force

There are allso some dependancy on MCC... But has been able to load Aparently...

fyi... 'This' was made in two days and next update will state requirements clearly... This is our first template upload... Ever :) sorry in advance!

There are surely other ways to get in contact with the site admins other than in the comment section... But i just wanted to make an (ill informed) valliant attempt non the less :)

...Really satisfying that the template pleases so many so far... Just hope too many has been haltet like yourself...

Awesome for a two days job. Guys, i was trying to load the edtitor with the "USSOCOM 75th Ranger, Navy SEALs DEVGRU and Delta Force by Massi" active and stil getting to same error... maybe it's me... idk :(

Quick fix is try to open the mission file and delete the line with the flag pole, that way you only have 2 poles and not three... ;)

We are currently trying to make a vanilla version on Valhalla, and one with only AiA. We're not sure if the vanilla FOB will have the same feel as the original.

We might also change some scripts... If anyone has any good suggestions?

The idea is for people new or lazy can just copy paste into any map and go play! We use MCC to do missions on the fly or throw in ALiVE and go kill!

F.O.B VALHALLA version 2.0 is a platoon size base, inspired by a retired, large Danish batallion size NATO base during the 90'ies war in Bosnia.

FOB ment for the community that want a

- With this update (version 2.00 from 1.00) we have totally remade the FOB and made it better. We have removed all MOD requirements and this v2.00 is now totally Vanilla, so anybody with Arma3 can run this template.

Installation:

Extract the .pbo file(s) to your Steam/SteamApps/common/ArmA 3/Missions folder.
