at googledrive all missions are up do date

sometimes steam workshop versions are couple of versions ahead

anyway I will soon release a reworked release

other thing I have question about a problem which drives me crazy .... each time I respawn I lose leadership of group

can any confirm this too?

Good to hear about an update incoming.

are you addressing any of the issues/things i wrote?

The loss of command is simply arma engine.

when you die, another team mate takes over the squad and then lists you as a regular member after respawn.

You can actually even hear it (when radio chatter is enabled) the AI says something like "2:we lost 1. 2: Taking control"

So sort of - confirmed.

You would have to re-establish the leader after he respawns.

the problem is not the loss of command, I know that's engine related.

the problem is I do NOT regain leadership after the respawn and this for the whole mission duration

and before 1.38 it was - you died...

next soldier took command for the time until you respawned and then you got leadership back.

the last part is broken ... you get never leadership back

it looks like this very old bug is back

Gotcha.

Playing with AGM you can just take over the group clientside, so i forgot about the fact that it doesnt work in vanilla.

Maybe a simple script could do that instead which is executed upon respawn?

Did you already think about the armor overkill issue?

Hi. Love the mission, even though I have a few remarks.

Armor. Please either add parameter for the amount of it, or remove it completely. Yesterday 10 of us tried playing RUS version, we had one T72B, one BMP3 and one BMP2K, we were searching for intel on start in Loy Manara. After few minutes, and few insurgents killed in close by village, suddenly 6 TANKS popped behind our backs from direction of main base. We took out 3, the rest took us out. Most of people ragequited.

New version, I'm just testing it alone on dedi 1.4 and I have this problem.

I cant change any parameter even if Im logged in as admin. I haven't unpacked and looked in the code, but looks like some bug. Running all the required mods, updated, plus MCC4. Mision downloaded from gdrive. Also Ive tried US version and from the parameters menu it looks like old version.

mission parameters works here ...

as far I know ALiVE and MCC4 are not compatible, you should disable it running this mission.

US versions not yet updated!

Yeah, I have tried turning off MCC4 same thing happens. I have unpacked the mission and looked into it, on my pc, from MP hosted and I can change parameters. But its not working on my dedi.

Ill try disabling unneeded mods, and see how that goes. Not tested other missions, to see if I can change parameters, might be server issue or mod conflict.

Can you tell me how to remove armor or reduce it? I loved ACE Insurgency gameplay in A2CO, but this one has way more armor. We like to play with just a few support vehicles ( transport an HMG type ) and here, we need entire battalion to support us with CAS, and all kinds of fire support. Can you make a version which has no armor, or at least tell me how to reduce or remove it?

Update: Fixed the param issue, its not mission it was some mod or server launch parameter, posted in the topic linked above.

Still would like to know how to reduce or remove armor. Thanks in advance.

PS: SRS revive script is brilliant. Much of it based on Simple Wounding System and works the best from all out there.

Edit: I think I have found a way to disable armor in ALive modules.

Can you look in this script and possibly make use of it?

There is also compatibility addon for Leights Opfor pack to make use of @rds static weapon pack. Downside is it would require two more additional mods, @rds and @rds_lop_comp but I dont care if it would work.

Does this still have confirmed issues when running with MCC?

And how does one call in support. I have the laser designator as the instructions say but that is all they say. I don't see any options anywhere.

it will break mission

due lack of time and work on already other and bigger mission projects I am not able to update mission any time soon

I have decided that there wont be any update of my missions to the new versions of Leight's OPFOR Pack.

There are several reasons behind my decision,

one of it is that he increased group size in a way it will make

mission unplayable due performance problems.

I wont discuss any further here my reasons.

If anyone really like to now why I did this decisions you can PM me.

Probably I will get in near future rid of Leight's OPFOR Pack and replace it with something else.

his faction and group configurations are horrible, for example you tell ALiVE to spawn only infantry but it will spawn still tanks and other stuff

same story if you tell ALiVE to spawn only motorized/mechanized units

 

his group sizes of some factions/groups can bring drastically down performance of ALiVE missions, for example he had in a group 16 units :P

do imagine what happens to performance when ALiVE spawns hundreds of them :D

 

he also think is funny to change with nearly every update the sides of the factions or even worse deleting them,

you need then each time rewrite your missions and depends on mission you done this can be freaking lot of work

 

after five times rewriting my missions it was enough and I got tired of that

thx for the answer. Yes its still a perfect all-around enemy pack missing that is good supported (keeping vanilla structure). LOP is still the best even with his countless restructure patches. I think the newest version will be the last one :(

I'm still polishing it.. Then i will release it through BIS Forums and Armaholic too. Also I want to add an Ultra Nationalist faction at least to fight them in Chernarus.  :D
