Yep, that's why dat ass just got a bleaching and a bit of sand. And yes, that sounds horribly wrong without context. :)

I'm yet undecided what to do with the snow one. Snow tends to melt and the uniform gets wet, probably resulting in dark stains instead of white ones. And the model is not made to support, let's say, snow sticking on the boot. Difficult. I'm also going to change the black scheme. I've never really used it and feel it looks a bit off. Maybe It'll try colours similar to Multicam black, we'll see.

That's true...Maybe try to make some slightly darker spots that indicate wet clothes. Maybe mix it up with some snow white spots (yeah I know, it would just be a texture but it would give the illusion)

Yeah, I wasn't able to use the Black Scheme as well, maybe just go with a complete black piece of uniform. Or very Dark Blue. I mean...lets face it: This uniform will be used for special (police), anti-terror forces or units that do night operations.
I thought of something like the GSG 9, SWAT or GIGN and to have some originality way not resort back to the grids and make them black (meaning a dark blue uniform with black grids)

I however would like to see that! ^^

So, had time this morning to edit the other schemes as well. Also adjusted vests and stuff. I've toned down the black scheme, it's black, dark grey, dark navy blue now. Hard to distinct from plain black from a distance but it looks cool up close. Also took a shot at more detailed boots.

Thanks, lads! I think most of it is done now. I still need to fix some config errors and make sure they blend in with the rest of the gear. Then I'll have to do the same for CSAT again (luckily with much fewer textures) and then it's time for an update.

Duh, I hate it when modders do things like that. Had to config around that CBA extended EH stuff already to make it work with ACE. It gets annoying after time. But since I'm already on the config, I might as well add that property if it's useful. Thanks for the heads-up!

This sounds a bit stupid but have you concider maybe seeing how others have done that (by grabbing a small faction mod that puts the faction crew in a chopper and see what they do different)
I mean I already told you, I'm not the brightest in this stuff...but this is basically what I do, when I need scripts. I see what others do.

Anyway, even though I don't use the CSAT Snow Tigers (yet) they look damn sexy!

I haven't looked at others' works yet. Anyone knows a simple re-texture that uses vanilla helos as well?

 

In other news, I should be writing my Master's thesis. My brain however got distracted by the thought of spray paint effects on vehicles and unconsciously, it seems to have decided to re-do the Hunter, so that it matches the new infantry units in quality and colour. My brain went on and added a fancy metal effect to a bunch of refined filters, and manually spraypainted a two-colour scheme from sage green and sand onto the good old Hunter MRAP. The results seem to be aesthetically pleasing for a first prototype. Only the used metal texture is not really tileable, hence one can spot a few irregularities. When I regained control over my reactions, I decided to take a few pictures for evaluation. I was working on my craptop, so please excuse the lower image quality.

Since this way of doing it requires much more time and effort than a procedural generation like before, don't expect results to come in soon or at once. I think I'll iteratively add vehicles over time, so the 'FORCE might be looking a bit funny in the near future with mixed patterns and bigger quality gaps. Opinions?

I've managed to do all the EF MRAPs today. Had to change the metal texture, but still, I feel they do look much better than the old ones. They also seem to fit their target environments, I need to check that on my gaming machine later the week. They do however have much less contrast in colours. But I think it's more realistic that way. All camos are sprayed by myself.

Very cool, especially the Altis and Black look very nice.  :lol:

 

Edit: I have a general question. Is there any way to disable the Euroforce Symbol as well as the white texts (e.g. "AFOR" and "MP") Especially the Euroforce Logo is interfering with our Clan Logo (put on the exact same position due to our squad.xml xD)

Thanks. No, these are part of the texture. But I could move them to another location. AFOR is kind of optional, I will keep MP though.

I mean I did not want to "force" you to change anything. I more thought this might be something that can be done like descriped here in the table down!

 

But if you could move the logo, that'd be awesome (I guess not only for me but for every clan that uses its logo in the squad.xml). ^^

Thanks, I'll shoot you a PM. Sometimes, I'd love to get more engaged in actually playing Arma. Most of my Arma-time goes into development, aside from that little SP content there is. However, if anything I'm not a professional. No idea about military lingo or radio protocol or anything. So it should be on a rather relaxed level. What kind of COOP do you do? Small or large-scale? Relaxed or milsim?

I know it could potentially fall under the CSAT you've created, but have you considered making 2030 Russian troops? Of course it'd probably require other addons (AK-12, possibly equipment), but I would love to see your take on them alongside your CSAT and EU.
