Arma 3 artificial lighting Problem

Recommended Posts

Ok so i have a question about the artificial lighting in arma 3 its really bugging me to see it like this at first i thought it was maybe a mod that caused these effects but turning the mods off an looking at the lights again ended in same story of a somewhat texture of what is meant to be a Glare/dust effects coming off the artificial lights.....not sure but whatever it is it looks very poorly done. On certain angles its not to bad but for the most part its pretty bad just when you think things could not get worse switch your night vision on an you can really see how bad it is.

I think if the were going for an effect of dust or glare its not looking to good. For example i drive on tarmac on concrete at low speeds or sitting on top of a mountain high winds in a hunter still i have this dusty looking lights.

So to conclude is this how it is meant to look or is there a fix for this or update that's coming to address this problem thanks.

The last few pictures aren't how my game looks.

^That and the pictures look really compressed, they don't match up to how you tell us you see them in-game. Hard to judge the particles when you can't see any particles :D.

Don't like to bash BI but Arma 3's lighting was never good any way, don't expect such a small detail to be addressed before dynamic lighting etc.

Arma 3 Lighting during night is not bothering me as much as building lights and flashlights going true wall is pissing me off :D realy and that we are still using incandescent light(googled it) and not LED like Rober hamer pistol lights surefire LED witch are awesome, but again, they are lighting off whole building and behind, witch is so stupid, and i hope there will be some fix one day :)

I can't make lighting to look like that at all. So your specs, video settings and what mods are used?

First posts pics don't look too bad until you put NVG on. Doesn't look like that on my screen with NVG.

Thread moved to the Troubleshooting forum.

As for the pics, they look as if someone applied a visual filter (blur+gamma+sharpen). That never happened to me.

I remember this happening to some guy around Arma 2 time - I've looked but I couldn't find the thread.

As St.Jimmy said, try posting up specs and your Arma player config file. There might be some clues in there.

You're welcome

and there is another problem realated to dynamic lighting , when you use dust or smoke pariticules with vehicles lighting especially at night !

http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=11733

look that

http://www.noelshack.com/2015-02-1420976609-arma3-2013-07-19-12-23-28-08-bmp.jpg

there is a horrible and pixelised square , which symbolized the dust or smoke !

its very shame for a DX11 game in 2014
