Sexy, although I would not like to fire anything whatsoever through that barrel unless I was standing way back behind some very thick glass ;)

 

O/T, but I do love seeing work in that sketchfab site. Great way to actually see the quality that screenshots or a quick vid can`t ever hope to show.

About Seal Team gear and such;Could you add a cannoe and some great cammo nets and maybe even a Bell Jet Ranger,(not the Kiowa) sensce those where used alongside with Fast Patrol Craft Rib boats and Pt`s and OH-6 Loach and so on in this conflict?

 

Would also fit in nicely with Tannoa.

well there won't be any tanks for xmas boys, not unless we get some physx support. the few people who offered us physx help have other priorities now.

 

anyone know how to get an arma 2 tank to even move in a3?

if so, please lend us a few days of your time to teach us how to do it... PLEASE!

I have animated the crap out of it, and using Toadie2k's reloadanim for the sten, it is gonna look perfect in game.

yes this model deserves a great suppressor, don't you agree?

our suppressor is a little basic.

what we really need is a modeler to make this suppressed barrel with lace-up cover...

Nice, I remember (and still play) in vietcong fist alpha the only version of that was the suppressed one, looking forward to the baikal as well, turning a tunnel corner and coming face to face with that was no fun!

still siting the suppressor correctly but here you can see the anims in game with toadie2k's NIArms reload animation

we need the hand further forward really, but it will do for now

Nice! Loving the work guys!, Not much of a modeller myself but I am learning while at uni. Thought I might try it out as a challenge for myself to improve my modelling skills bit by bit haha. Glad to see people asking questions about this when they obviously haven't played Charlie release yet! It's already in current release mate, only we got that from his Turbosquid, not sketchfab. ;)

Now that's pretty! If you ever get the blunderbuss too, I'll officially declare you the craziest bunch o' modders in ArmA community :P

BTW, since christmas is approaching, could you post a short list of your most wanted 3D models so the little elves in the community can maybe chip in? Shame about you not being able to port in the tanks yet, but I'm sure you'll get there and maybe ask El Tyranos from Iron Front lite for pointers. If I understood correctly, he did some commendable effort to get the IF tanks ported to A3. I'll keep putting pennies into my piggy bank meanwhile...

working on pooks original reinterpretation of the BI tanks...

 

ok so far so good - after no less than 30 solid hours of trial and error this week, we now have working hatches and turn-in/out crew on the T34, T54, T55 and TO55 models.

that was a massive chore i do not wish to repeat in a hurry :(

 

the ride-on cargo guys you see in the pic below are using proxies that should work for FFV, but for some inexplicable reason (and after a good 4-5 hours trying) I just cannot get them to work on a class Tank. leaving it off until other problems are solved.

 

we now have working:

- cannon, coax machinegun, bow MG and turret AA guns, with appropriate muzzle flashes, cloud fx, shell drop

- all relevant crew slots have animated hatches/ turn-in/out options

- new appropriate to the era optics

- random bushes, fuel drums, turret clutter, pole

- 6/8 man ride-on back option

- volumetric lights, searchlight beams

- rear / brake lights

- exhaust and dust fx

- 3 skins per tank

 

TO DO:

- redo the geometry lod and add physx elements

- unpick the FFV clusterfuck

a few in-game pics from tonights test game

 

started with the sterling folded /sd

caned 14 mags in about 20 mins :(

but it was very accurate and deadly to use, and the extra dexterity you get from the folded version really helps.

Isn't Doung island just lookin so darn good? she is a beautiful piece of real estate, so long as we don't distract razorback with our model tweak requests, he makes this island get better and better. can't wait to have a proper game at the weekend so we can explore the new villages and small fishing port.

picked up an ak47/49, an old model made by vilas, still looks great, and with us adopting toadie's NIArms reload anims, it now feels amazing and brand new

defending the base from the roof of the hangar - i added working walkways and ladders to this debinned building, as well as new interior clutter

hangin out with our new flags - i made these for the MACV-SOG and air cav clans. if you have any specific unit requests send me good quality flag image links and i'll see what we can do.

a minor detail - the use of bayonet has been removed from the stoner LMG (it had no lug), seen here on the AR version, it fits great now that i rescaled the bayonet (was 25cm, should be almost 30)
