sometimes some weird bugs happen that requiere also a arma server restart from the comand line

Redownloaded pbo from the first post. It worked fine first, spawned a few bombers, tanks, interceptor. Done some random stuff. Overall, the game was on about for about 1-2 hours, and then it happened again.

Will try restarting next time.

It looks like, sometimes, game fails to get rid of a destroyed vehicle, and the the owner of said vehicle gets this state. On both my videos you can see my last destroyed vehicle on map. It stays there, burned, no smoke, but the sound of burning can still be heard close to it. When the destroyed unit de-spawns properly, in a very short time after it is destroyed, game works fine.

it s perphas because you use some mod that change how vehicles is damage, or cause the vehicle is not empty ?

Nope, as I stated before, unmodded latest arma 3 from steam. No beta. I even redownloaded a game recently, just to be sure.

ok , then i have to think about it. what kind of vehicle stay on the map while it was destroyed ? does it always the same ?

can you try do destroy the old vehicle with a law or other thing when it happens, to see if it solves the problem ?

it s a vanilla mod which didn't require download from players :D i don't have time to support external addons ;(

New release 1.3 of combat assault is avalaible !

 

Here the changelog:

- add a more UI friendly personnal score (at top of the screen)

- add a convoy lobby parameter to choose the pop time

- Increase patrol infantry path, infantry patrol in the sectors around the initial sector

- fix chopper patrol path

- add additionnal infantry groups depending of probabilities

- fix overcast and rain

- add sectors and degree view in more UI  friendly (at top of the screen)

- add some jackass messages for suicide

- add banner message for customize for team

- add distance parameter for pop groups

- add some probabilities for pop enemies

- fix poping distance for enemy choppers

- fix unpoping vehicles after an amount of times

I have no ambient sound in this mission.  Dead silence.  Combat sounds and the shuffle of boots are all there but the environmental audio is absent.  No it's not my game settings, I've double checked that.  Load up something else and I hear the breeze and the birds and the bugs.  Is there a fix or is this related to your sound track?  It's been fun so far but the silence is unnerving and kinda breaks the mood.

you can turn on animals + audo ambiant at this place:

 

client/init.sqf

 

change the line :

enableEnvironment false;

 

by

 

enableEnvironment true;

Just out of curiosity... for what reason did you make the design decision to omit environmental?  Performance or just a personal preference?

it s personal decision, don't like rabbits and snakes in this game ;)

 

nope, no addons are require. You can play vanilla !

1.32 is coming :)

 

- fixing the player vehicles bug that didn't respawn anymore

- fixing the doghfight module. Enemy planes come again on map and fight against players !

- fixing the player vehicles bug that didn't respawn anymore

- fixing the doghfight module. Enemy planes come again on map and fight against players

- add warning for enemies planes

- tune west side checking for PVP games

- add artillery marker and warning

- fix client side bad init bug

- add deployement menu instead automatic deployement

- tune minimap view, add zoom and unzoom

- fix distance vehicle camera view

- add lamp at base

Hey. sorry for late reply.

Tried Combat Assault for ~30 minutes. here are what i think:

 

+ mission is server/performance friendly

+ enemies count aren't overwhelming

+ when one player spotted a fast mover, a notification pop up.

 

- sometimes a battle finishes too fast. :p

- sometimes when clearing a sector, enemies QRF/reinforcement spawn too close to players.
