How Russian 'patriots' really care about their veterans:

1798339_original.jpg

(For those wandering, this was a paid 'demonstration'. Russian people really don't give a feck about soldiers who died defending their Motherland. And this is the case for every pro-Putin demonstration in existence.)

(Kommersant, Russian) Putin is creating his own SS troopers

Voluntary People Druzhina - A 1955-1991 Soviet project designed to recruit volunteers as a police force.

Putin's "United Russia" party is planning the project "Safe Capital", where Moscow streets will be patrolled by Druzhina guards.

A single patrol will consist of 3-4 athletic men... Recruits can come from various police and military veteran organizations. Each will be given a uniform with the traditional bear on the back and a badge.

"United Russia" does not exclude the possibility of patrolling political and oppositionary meetings.

It seems that 2011 burning of guard post at Russian Republic in Warsaw click was orchestrated by former Polish Minister of Interior - Bartosz Sienkiewicz. Back than both Russia and Polish govt led by Donald Tusk had accused Polish nationalists for this act. Due to surfacing of wiretapped talk between two high ranking officials - it's obvious that the act of attack on Russian embassy was orchestrated by the minister Sienkiewicz to discredit people from the November Independence march that gather thousands of people disappointed by current government. This march is a constant target of both secret service and police provocations and it's well documented how "police skirmishers" start riots by throwing rocks at the police and other people as well. Everything to provoke a anti-march action and shut it down as quick as possible due to acts of hooliganism.

It only show how current government puppeted by Berlin & Brussels does everything to hold up at all costs and by any means. Even if it means to inflame the situation with Russia. This is very dangerous game they play and I hope that sooner or later they will respond handcuffed in front of State Tribunal.

It would be a huge scandal in any democratic country, but current Polish government is well impregnated by pro-regime media work and loyal servants who will try to wash away the most evident acts of corruption of present government.

For now the record have been delivered to prosecutor office and investigation begins.

Poland apologizes to Russia over Warsaw Embassy riot

and accurate observation that covers recent discovery

Ambassador Alexeyev told the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper the anti-Russian outburst in Poland was likely fueled by political forces, not just right-wing hooligans.

It's funny because it's almost like he knew something... Many people who witnessed this act of vandalism have noticed the embassy was left unprotected. There were no guards, no police and guard booth was deserted - which is very unusual since this embassy is always well protected and covered...

russian minister of defence Sergey Shoigu said "there is need to make tank rally across Poland" , few years ago this scumbag threatened Romania to fly bombers over Romania, it shows face of Russian politics and diplomacy very well that he haven't been fired for such words on Romania and now he says such things on Poland , he told it 2 weeks ago, as someone mentioned Putler youth - Russia starts to remind early stage of Third Reich

Polish historicians receive death threats from Russians for investigating Stalin era crimes:

oh... ok, "Sergey Shoigu" was Dmitry Rogozin instead, "few years ago" was may last year instead, and "fly bombers over Romania" was "(...) Next time I’ll fly on board TU-160." instead.

I'm disapointed there was no reported response clarifying if that tweet was "the Russian Federation's official position towards Romania as an EU and NATO member".

Moscow ready to supply weapons to Iraq to help fight ISIS

Moscow and Baghdad have been expanding military cooperation, President Vladimir Putin said, and Russia is ready to supply weapons to Iraq to aid the fight against Islamic State militants’ advance in the region, said Russia’s FM Sergey Lavrov.

“We will make all efforts to meet [iraq’s] possible requests, to ensure it has the defense capability and the ability to drive out of its territories Islamic State [formerly ISIS, or ISIL] and other terrorists," Lavrov told reporters, speaking ahead of talks in Moscow between Putin and Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi on Thursday.

Russian parliament adopts law on 'undesirable' NGOs (Reuters, May 19th)

The Russian parliament's lower chamber adopted on Tuesday a law barring foreign and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from the country if they are deemed to pose a threat to Russia's constitutional order, defense or security.

The law further increases pressure on NGOs after Russia enforced new rules in 2012 obliging groups that receive any funding from abroad to register as "foreign agents", a move decried by Kremlin critics as an attempt to muzzle dissent.

Russia has accused the West of engineering the overthrow of Ukraine's pro-Moscow president Viktor Yanukovich last year through its support for NGOs

The new law allows for a ban on the operations in Russia of any NGO declared "undesirable" by the prosecutor-general and introduces financial penalties, forced labor, restrictions on movement or jail of up to six years for those violating it.

The State Duma lower house approved the law in its third and final reading. It is expected to win the necessary backing of the upper chamber and to be signed by President Vladimir Putin.

Seems that not many people bought Russia's song about peace and multiculturalism, and was defeated in Eurovision.

(Washington Post) Sweden’s Måns Zelmerlöw beats Russia’s Polina Gagarina to win Eurovision 2015

Sweden won, which means that next year the contest will be organized there. Personally I think it's a shame, it would have been interesting to see how the Kremlin organized a contest that's known for the multiculturalism and tolerance.

In Twitter some say that Putin is not worried, as next year Sweden's gonna be part of Russia.

Why do you think that every event in Russia is propaganda? Its really fun to see how people are trying to explain you something about propaganda with wild eyes because of own anti-russian propaganda and hysteria. ;)

No, it´s a quite objective truth, just look at Sochi. One huge propaganda show, that also had the side effect of making Putin and his friends even more rich. Another ESC contest in Russia would be the same.

Because for vast majority of cases it's truth ;) Of course, if you buy it, you don't see it as propaganda. But for anyone with just a bit of understanding of how things work, it's obvious.

In my opinion - yes. It is a little victory for our country and the biggest one for Polina personally. But definitelly it's not a defeat!

I saw Sochi Olympic Games. Beautiful show without history-politized introduction.

The same I saw on Olympic Games in London, Canada and China.

The only "propaganda" I saw was on BBC/CNN about how it will be terrible because of bad hotels, bears in corridors, russians cant make something good and etc...

Ah, yes, there was the "ring"..... ;)

And what about making Putin and his friends getting rich because of this games?

- Do you have any proven information?

I've heard about some cheatings with construction and government told about it.

So "Putin and his friends getting rich" and stealing money from the construction isn't the same.

Another question is why do some mass-media and magazines put something like "Putin's Olympic corruption" in their daily headers? Its typical meanings change... and I think it is a part of 'your' anti-russian propaganda :p

"Some" cheatings with construction ? The cost of those olympics is enormous, and absolutely unjustified by the constructions themselves. Did you have a look at "the most expensive motorway" in the world leading to Sotchi ?.... and if he isn't corrupted to the deapest roots, how do you think Putin has become one of the richest men in the world ? Have you looked at the watches he wears ? It's amazing how Russian people doesn't seem to care at all about his leaders (and their oligarch friends) stealing their money.

And again...

"the most expensive motorway", "Putin has become one of the richest men in the world"... may I ask you some prooflinks, not just "magazine headers"?

This is really getting ridiculous.

And someone was talking about propaganda... xD
