pulstar 55 Posted November 5, 2015 I hope for the sake of the victims' families that the truth will be let out, and not some BS story. Just think of the turmoil afflicting those who lost loved ones over Ukraine last year, or even those aboard MH17 before them. The truth is often one more victim in those incidents. exe_74rus 1 Posted November 5, 2015 If it turns out that the plane was blown up by terrorists, Egypt lose some tourists. No other changes will not happen. As the bombing in Syria, as we bombed. Russia does not need the import of jihad. So we kill these people before they come to Russia. White people is beneficial to fight in a foreign land. For this, while in Europe do not agree with the United States and Russia, the Middle East will burn.

ProfTournesol 956 Posted November 6, 2015 (BBC NEWS) Sinai plane crash: Russia suspends Egypt flights Russia has ordered the suspension of all flights to Egypt following indications that the crash near Sharm el-Sheikh was caused by a bomb. President Vladimir Putin has also asked for up to 50,000 Russian holiday-makers currently in Egypt to be repatriated. The UK has suspended flights to Sharm el-Sheikh and is bringing Britons home. The move comes after intercepted "chatter" suggesting a bomb was put in the plane's hold prior to take-off, killing all 224 people on board. Militants linked to the Islamic State group (IS) say they downed the plane. The Metrojet Airbus A321 was flying from Sharm el-Sheikh to St Petersburg when it came down in Sinai on Saturday. Most of the victims were Russian. Militants from the Sinai Province group, linked to IS, have not said how they destroyed the plane. IS has called for a war against both Russia and the US over their air strikes in Syria. The BBC understands that UK officials received intelligence based on intercepted communications between militants in the Sinai Peninsula, indicating an explosive device may have been put inside or on top of the luggage just before the plane took off. An unnamed investigator has told French news agency AFP that the plane's flight data recorder had shown that "everything was normal during the flight, absolutely normal, and suddenly there was nothing", suggesting a "violent, sudden" explosion. sudayev 27 Posted November 9, 2015 It appears that someone planted the bomb in the cargo hold or the bomb was smuggled in a tourist case along with the other baggage. Now all Russian tourists are being evacuated from Egypt, passengers are limited to hand luggage only! UK has also started sending airplanes to get their tourists back home. Massive blow to Egypt's tourism.

Iam not sure what is the bigger scandal here, the russian systematic doping, the international officials who did kept silence about it or the politicisation of this case with the demand to exclude Russia as a whole country. And you can be pretty sure that nowadays international professional sport in general with a billion market is not doping free. Imagine if athletes from all different kind of sport genres would be tested like in cycling i.e. Tour De France .....

oxmox 73 Posted November 11, 2015 That old tune again  US invaded Irak so Russia can invade Crimea, etc...Doping obviously exists everywhere, but it seems that it is state promoted in Russia, see the difference ? Sorry, what old tune ... ? I think it is worth to mention that also in western countries in the past state promoted doping did happen, probably some countries nowadays do not even have anti doping laws yet. The scandal in Russia seems to be quiete big since the press was talking about 1500 blood tests who did vanish. And yes, allegedly state promoted doping in Russia is known since at least 2014. http://www.thelocal.de/20141204/german-doc-alleges-state-doping-in-russia (The Telegraph; Nov. 9) Wada report on doping: This scandal is not just a Russian problem, it is an issue worldwide Ruling bodies are dead because they have mistaken governance for business Moral equivalence cannot be allowed to diminish the impact of the World Anti-Doping Agency’s extraordinary report. Past crimes offer no mandate to commit new ones. But all attempts to cast this pullulating scandal as a specifically Russian problem should be qualified. Another front in the new Cold War between Putin’s mafia state and the west will doubtless be opened up by the detail of FSB (state security) agents appearing in Sochi laboratories and alleged bribes being paid to cover up positive Russian tests. Yet this is a global problem of institutions, culture and governance, as Dick Pound, one of the report’s authors, acknowledged. “Kenya has a real problem and have been very slow to acknowledge it,†Pound said. And: “It’s probably the tip of the iceberg. Russia is not the only country and athletics is not the only sport with a doping problem.†Numerous American scandals since the Seoul Games of 1988 preceded the apparent return of state-sponsored doping in Putin’s empire. Shortly before Lewis spoke, the United States Olympic Committee denied that 114 positive tests were covered up between 1988 and 2000. Rumours of samples routinely being tipped down sinks presupposed that panicked administrators were simply trying to “protect the sportâ€. Global governing bodies in their current form are dead. They have mistaken governance for business. They exist now to chase money rather than enforce order. The incompatibility of those aims has corrupted them to their souls. Large parts of Fifa have been crooked since the Seventies or before. Olympic sports have been inherently compromised since the Cold War. To make Fifa look slightly less bad is quite an achievement for Olympic sports, where endemic cheating first set in during the Cold War and has mutated relentlessly into new forms. This colossal fraud cannot stand, in sport or in life. As Pound lamented: “Public opinion is going to move towards the opinion that ALL sport is corrupt.†http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/athletics/11984937/Wada-report-on-doping-This-scandal-is-not-just-a-Russian-problem-it-is-an-issue-worldwide.html
sudayev 27 Posted November 12, 2015 During a regular meeting with defense officials on November 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed methods of countering NATO's missile-defense shield (...) (...) Footage of the meeting includes a clear view of a document that defense officials were looking over. The document looks at one type of "strike system" that Putin was talking about. The document, according to the Russian Forces blog, includes plans to develop an underwater drone that could be launched from submarines in order to carry out nuclear strikes at key coastal areas. The project is known as "Ocean Multipurpose System 'Status-6.'" According to a translation by Russian Forces, this weapons system is aimed at "damaging the important components of the adversary's economy in a coastal area and inflicting unacceptable damage to a country's territory by creating areas of wide radioactive contamination that would be unsuitable for military, economic, or other activity for long periods of time." http://www.businessinsider.com/russia-developing-nuclear-submarine-drone-2015-11 The Russian answer to anti-missile system present in EU countries are remote controlled dirty bombs.
