cyprus 16 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) I didn't play Arma 3 for most of October so I loaded up some Arma 3 missions on my dedicated server that I wanted to play. I've played them before on a dedicated server, so I know they work, but now after selecting a character and clicking start mission I get stuck on a loading screen and the server console says that the mission is dependent on downloadable content that apparantly has been deleted. This error only happens on missions that use mods, but it happens on every mission with mods that I have tested except Escape Roy for some reason. All the mods are installed properly on both the dedicated server and the client. At one point it was impossible the files to be different because both the server and the game read the mods from the Arma 3 folder where they were installed. I've checked and rechecked the files and there are no differences. I've tried multiple file verifications and even a game uninstall and reinstall, but I'm still getting the same errors. When I try the missions in a listen server I'm able to play the missions as normal so there must be something wrong with the dedicated server and not the missions themselves. I use TADST v2.6 to manage my server and my server is installed locally on a seperate hard drive. I get the same issues when I use the server in the Arma 3 directory. When I disabled this mod, I was able to load one of the missions I was having problems with (that mission doesn't even use that mod), but I'm still getting errors with AiA occasionally and can't load other missions. This never happened before. Missions never used to not load because I have a mod enabled that the mission doesn't even use. That doesn't even make sense. This issue is incredibly frustrating, and I'm really getting tired of all these problems with this game (framerate, connection issues, lack of documentation, etc). From the arma3_2014-11-04_05-08-47.rpt: Warning Message: You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.sp_flags_unitedstates, us_flags_unitedkingdom, Burnes_M1A2_Public, sp_flags_canada, sp_flags_israel, sp_flags_france, WAPAddon, JS_JC_FA18 Missing addons detected: sp_flags_unitedstates us_flags_unitedkingdom Burnes_M1A2_Public sp_flags_canada sp_flags_israel sp_flags_france WAPAddon JS_JC_FA18 Those mods doesn't show up in the Mod list but apparently you're running something that's dependent on those. I'm not sure if that RPT is referring to when I tried to run it on the dedicated server or the listen server, but the mission runs fine on the listen server. On the dedicated server, even when I've checked to make sure I have all the right mods I don't even get to the character selection screen. That mission has had some weird issues for over a month now. It used to work fine on a dedicated server, and then I remember my friend changed something in the mission (he made it) and I could no longer host it in the dedicated server. Still though, it works on a listen server, but not a dedicated server. That's the issue I'm having with every single one of these missions when this never happened before. Did the last couple patches change the way files are read on the dedicated server? If I have the same mods installed on the game and the server, why should I be having any problems? badluckburt 78 Posted November 4, 2014 I don't think the patches changed anything although it's been some time since I played A3 MP. What you could try to do is open the mission.sqm and see what's in the addOns[] array at the top of the file. With some luck you'll spot an addon you missed. And I would definitely hit up your friend to see if he has a clue what's going on. Also give the mission a try it's actually pretty fun. It's best played with a couple people though. Tell me if it's not opening on any type of server. I want to be clear though, that mission, and every other mission that I'm having problems with in the dedicated server, is giving me no problems in the listen server. badluckburt 78 Posted November 5, 2014 I'm afraid I can't take a look at it atm. Not enough disk space for all those mods :O their total is bigger than Arma 3 itself. cyprus 16 Posted November 10, 2014 Is there any sort of explanation for this? Why are missions with mods that run fine on the listen server not running on the dedicated server? I'm seeing errors about missing addons, but I have the exact same mods on the server and the client. The server is literally using the exact same files as the client because the server is in the same folder as the client. Something happened with the last patch because this did not happen before. How can I get to the bottom of this? Here are the server rpt log files. cyprus 16 Posted July 10, 2015 Sorry for the necro, and I never quite fixed the original issue, but I ran into a similar problem recently, and I found out how to fix it. I was having an issue more recently, where it said a mission I had that used mods required a file called "rhsusf_c_troops", yet I knew I had all the necessary mods activated on my client and server. It turns out the mod was improperly configured, so I had to manually add that file to the "addons" section of the mission.sqm and then the mission loaded. If anyone is suffering from a problem similar to this and this comes on google, I hope this helps. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ProudInfidel253 0 Posted August 28, 2016 I know I'm really late to this post, however, I'm having the same issue on my dedicated server. It refuses to load my custom missions and the rpt. file keeps saying that the missing addon is rhsusf_c_troops. I'm not sure if this is a recurring issue with RHS.
