Few more bugs I've noticed:

  • AK-74-style muzzle brakes seem to have reversed models (older AK versions use long-collar muzzle brakes, where they should probably use the short-collar ones)
  • Most 5.45 plum magazines have their icons or textures backwards
    • 5.45 PS plum magazines both have the same texture
  • VSR98 SSh-68 cover seems to be oriented wrong on the center part
  • new SSh-68M variants aren't shown? I only see the original variant

Hey, I got a smart question, with mods like RHS,  CUP, and DHI bringing mid-1990s to early-2010s modern assets. If someone were to ask you devs what makes VTN distinct from the pack, in a paragraph what would be your answer?

Just three words: Not. Just. Assets. Veteran Mod - it's a total modification that changes EVERY aspect of the game. Gameplay mechanics (removed zoom, backblasts, frag ammunition, bulletproof vests, inventory managment system, medical system, vehices damage system, etc.). Visual effects (explosions, tracers, rocket trails, hit effects). New sounds (small arms, rocket launchers, supersonic cracks). Veteran mod bring new and change vanilla content.

I think the sights on the ZU23 (both the collimator and the optical sight) are very difficult to use against land targets unless you have someone telling you where to aim. In single player if I don't want to cheat I have to get out of the vehicle to use the binoculars and get back in to aim. Could you make it possible to use binoculars while sitting on the gunner seat of the ZU23?

Interesting idea. We will try to do something, but no guarantee.

Some assets, in this mod, perfectly fit in vanilla game. BRDM 2 and Lav 25 are masterpieces. BIS ! The Beretta PX4 storm pistol is absolutely mandatory in game.

The current one uses authentic photo-texture:

Most of Izhevsk magazines have that pattern. Tula ones, on the other hand, are rather blend. But we don't have Tula arsenal magazines for 5.45x39 30-rounders.

And to directly answer your question - we don't plan to add the older texture back.

Yes, i understand that, but this texture looks very "used", previous one on the other hand looks more "new". And because of that i'm only suggest old version as optional variant, for more variety.

It's not about being 'used' or 'new'. The fibers of composite epoxy material (or текстолит) texture is the one that properly represents the Izhmash armory produced magazines.
