I am having two issues with the mod:

1. How to actually add text to a marker?

2. Is it possible to change the thickness when drawing lines?

And a question, if I draw my markers in MP in global, will other players who do not have the mod installed see them?

There is a bug when playing with ZEUS:

On dedicated servers, when placing markers as a ZEUS player they disappear after brief split second.

This mod and ace 3 maptools are conflicting. Does the author have any wish to rectify this problem ?

And the really big update v.2.0:
Sweet markers system v.2.0

  • Client-server logic has been rewritten, and the addon is now working faster.
  • Versions for Arma 2 and Arma 3 with the same functionality. (CBA:CO required for ArmA 2 version).
  • Compatible with ACE/AGM/etc except the several hotkeys on map. (If you have any trouble like black lines, just delete the Maptools pbo)
  • Logging system: now you'll always know who was drawing markers on your map.
  • Ability to draw ellipses. (2000 m. in radius max).
  • Ability to change line thickness. (100 m. max).
  • Ability to change marker position after drawing.
  • Only marker's owner is able to change direction and position of the marker.
  • Vanilla flags, ranks and location markers have been removed from the list of available markers. (Only A3).
  • Ability to place marker on the nearest road.
  • In order to function properly, the addon needs to be present both on the server and on all clients.

New hotkeys:

  • Shift + Alt + hold LMB â€” draw ellipse.
  • Ctrl + Alt + hold LMB â€” draw lines (Thickness: Ctrl -, Alt +).
  • Shift + Ctrl - put marker on the nearest road.

Nice job :D You could look completely integrate it into ACE3 if you and they want. Your system is much better than yours.

Ever thinking of just merging this with ace 3 like pull request on github. But very nice mod it works well for planning missions.

While you are holding LMB press alt. You don't need to hold ctrl and alt, while drawing.

This is a really awesome marker system, we've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it's just pure fun.

 

 

Our community has noticed one issue though: currently neither Sweet Marker System nor the map marker pbo of ACE3 offer a key rebind function.

 

If you have ACE3 map tools in your inventory and want to rotate a map marker you made (with sweet makers) you'll end up rotating it and drawing a line. This is because ALT+LMB is the bind for drawing lines with ACE3 map tools, and rotating map marker (by sweet markers). Luckily only you can see lines made by ACE3 map tools so it's not a big deal, but still an inconvenience especially when using the map hastily under fire.

 

A solution could be to offer key rebinds via CBA for users to choose their own key binds to avoid conflicts with other mods or their preferred key setup. Of course our community has sent the same feedback to the ACE3 devs.

Quick marker (ctrl+lmb) conflicted with BIS vanilla draw line feature..
how can set another hot key for quick marker?
