Purpose of this testing is stress test the servers to extreme

if there is lag/desync or other issue then we can capture it to try fix it ;)

size difference from 1.34 stable to 1.34RC RC2 client download is ~900 MB

improvements/fixes/tweaks are full (all done between 1.34 stable and 1.37 DEV)

note: make sure you don't select DEV branch (1GB+ from stable to DEV (same apply from DEV to RC))

note: if you get kicked for some BattlEye script restriction (e.g. #22) goto Editor, load Altis, exit editor, try-rejoin the server

note: KOTH mission restarts when team reach 100 tickets on capture, next session auto-start soon after

note: server might be restarted if needed, I will announce it in global chat ahead

note: VON lag/stutter still unsolved (really problematic bug)

Step 1. Right click on Arma 3 in your steam library

Step 2. Select Properties

Step 3. Go to Betas tab

Step 4. Enter the password provided by Dwarden in the

"Enter beta access code to unlock private betas" text entry area

Step 5. Click "Check Code" button

Step 6. Select the relevant RC from the dropdown list

Step 7. Wait for update files to DL and patch

Step 8. Launch Arma 3 and select "Play" and then "Multiplayer"

Step 9. In the Multiplayer server browser select "Remote"

Step 10. Enter the IP address provided then enter the port number provided

Step 11. Return to the server browser and you will see the test server

double click on it or select it and click "connect"

We need over 50 players at once (at one of the servers) , ideally fill them to max

the more players on one/all of them the better improvements we can do !

any help is welcomed

Is idling helping ?

I can let my pc and the game run while being on a test server but I can't play this weekend.

idle is fine, ofc active players doing something are more useful

Yeah I know I have been there but there seem to be low population, when does it hit the peak?(at what time there is usually the most people?)

Won't be back till Monday. If you can hold it open longer would gladly help. And invite steam punks along.

Well, I'm not into network problems on ArmA 3, but I can say that I faced some problems while playing on the test server. I could see people and vehicles moving ok, but, for example, if I have entered on a helicopter, my character remained stopped with the "sit" animation on the ground. After some good time (45 seconds, maybe), my camera/character were teleported to the helicopter. Then I tried to jump off it and my character was stuck. So the helicopter fell down to the ground and my character instantly died on the crash.

My internet connection was perfect.

The purpose of my question was to establish at what time most people play so we

can say here at this hour show up, so we can fill the server and gets some logs

on high players counts.I'm only trying to help community and QA on MP related problems.

You should advertise that the test servers run on double xp. I bet the player count would increase rapidly!

Just go on servers this morning,i think there is too much servers online and people are spreading on them mybe decrese number of servers i know more the better but my players i saw was 8 whole morning

maybe advertise it a little more to get more people, im willing to bet the vast majority don't have a clue this is happening.

yea and i second the suggestions about having only one or max two servers. make the slots rare. make people want them :D also please start cycling different missions. while i understand the thought of using "clean" PvP missions and the need for a controlled environment, i think it would still make sense to test missions with lots of scripting and AI too. because this way it's not very representative of the actual MP spectrum of arma.

now you could say "but coop missions have bad scripting" my answer would be "make a simple one yourself then" :p seriously though. i think testing AI is very important. why not make a very simple benchmark mission that is still enjoyable? maybe some parameters to scale AI to see where the limits are and stuff? just put "cleanable" sectors on all/many settlements. otherwise there is no real testing happening of what is considered arma's thing. prolonged large scale missions.

i wasn't gonna say it because i plug arma 2 ins all the time but yes that would be great. especially with opfor player slots. it's also a good mission to use from a technical standpoint. it already does caching but at the same time can have quite some AI present at the same time.

Change the server name to Official Arma 3 test or something..too bad i cant test em because it always kicks me for high ping
