Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh) Discussion

Leaked Hillary Clinton emails show U.S. allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar supported ISIS

Emails released by WikiLeaks add to the growing body of evidence that Gulf regimes have backed the Islamic State

“We need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region,†the document states.

Another newly released email, from January 2016, includes an excerpt from a private October 2013 speech in which Clinton acknowledged that “the Saudis have exported more extreme ideology than any other place on earth over the course of the last 30 years.â€

U.S. officials and many analysts and news reports have long denied that the Saudi and Qatari monarchies have supported ISIS, instead claiming the support was coming from rich donors in those countries. U.S. officials told CBS in September 2014 that wealthy “angel investors†in Qatar and other Gulf

states were sending money to ISIS.

The leaked August 2014 email, however, shows that Western intelligence sources knew the regimes themselves were providing support to the Islamic State.

Saudi and Turkey support was known and reported

Turkey was most modern and secular muslim country but ...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/11/18/turkey-bill-to-pardon-statutory-rape-if-perpetrators-marry-victi/

omg

they go into religious fanatism and closer to other muslim countries

Dude, we are going crazy here, but nobody gives a damn. These fuckers on parliament doesn't care anything anymore. They lie, majority believe, and keep voting for them and that situation gives them power of a dictatorship, no, actually a prophet. This bill suspended this morning due to our reaction, but I'm sure after some time they will change it a little and pass into law without people's knowledge(They own the whole media). So many crimes are happenning this country have never seen before. Last summer a fucktard kicked a woman in bus just because she wore shorts, shit load of child rapes happened in villages(some of them were started as incest and most disgusting part is that other villager men involved in gradually). Some people are ignorant as hell, and there is no way to show them what's wrong anymore. Some people even want to make Turkey a place like isis. I used to be a nationalist, I even wanted to be a soldier, but now I can't see a place to defend, a place to call home. And a little addition:

(Simply a porn video's start with turkish subtitles)

This shit is trending on youtube Turkey and I am ashamed of my people.

ps for mods: I am so sorry if I broke forum rules by adding this video.

It's so fucking stupid right now. Euphrates Shield Operation started to fight with fsa against isis. When Turkish soldiers started moving through, kurdish forces attacked them, so we attacked back. US tried to combine Turkish forces with kurds, but failed. Essad's jets killed few Turkish soldiers on Syria, and after that, two days ago Erdogan said "we are there to end Essad's regime", and today that same brave leader(!)  said "We have no intensions other than fighting terrorism(he means isis and kurdish forces)". Can you believe it? Just 2 fucking days and he changes what he says. Yesterday our 2 soldiers have been taken hostages by isis and our media doesn't show that nor does our officials care or dare to tell us that. Only Turkish Armed Forces said that they lost connection with these two soldiers. Non of our politicians give fuck about our soldiers

> When Turkish soldiers started moving through, kurdish forces attacked them

you mean when Turkish forces backing moderate FSA (former Al-something something associated previously with islamic groups) moved into area where SDF (both arabs and kurds) were

that was after 3 days of Turkey 155mm shelling and bombarding with F16s

as funny closing let me remind you those villages were home of those SDF members (IS pushed them out in 2012-2014)

some villages now claimed by FSA were also Kurdish villages (oh the irony right)

it's clear that Turkey decided that it's perfect time for landgrab because Great Turkey must rise again (where we did heard that in past?)

Occupation by Turkey is impossible, for we can't change our borders due to Treaty of Lausanne. We can call it bootlicking though. If you ask me, Turkish forces are giving these lands to fsa, so when we move back Assad will defeat fsa easily and political issues will be easier for Assad to solve. Otherwise west backed sdf can be a harder enemy for assad in both battlefield and politics. Don't get me wrong, I don't support Assad or Turkish forces being there. But I can't deny that these Turkish soldiers are my brothers. These are the politicians who throw people's life away like nothing.(Not only Turkish ones)

That SDF fighters you said are not as good as you believe. I don't know arabs, but some of these kurds are not that innocent. I am kurd myself and I have no turkish relatives. I am living in capital Ankara, but we came from east of Turkey. Most of my father's cousins are construction workers and they've been to iraq for work many times, before isis. My own cousin died in ypg's front line. I also have a cousin that is a commando in Turkish Armed Forces for longer than 3 years. What I am trying to say is I know both sides of this story, and the terrorist side is up to no good(for me, calling them kurds is actually wrong). Older Turkish governments made terrible things to kurds in the past. But arming like that is wrong, because their leaders are not there for peace or freedom. Abdullah Öcalan(the founder of pkk, which is also known as ypg) was from Turkish intelligence before that terrorist organization. It brings the idea that Turkey created them, right? However we can't reach to documentations(what a coincidence!). That terrorist organization killed and raped thousands of people including kurds for years mostly on east side of Turkey. They earnt money by selling drugs on Turkey and Europe(I've seen one of their drug fields). That can't be for anyone's freedom. To connect this to sdf, there are terrorists among them which killed thousands in turkey. They say they want kurdistan, but there is no such a thing to divide a country like that. It's like the hillary supporters after election, they can't separate from usa and create their own country just because they don't want to be an american citizen under the trumps government.

Btw, it's not fucking third reich and we are not like old Turks anymore. We lost our culture, manners and spirits. The purpose of Ottoman was distributing Islam, but Turkish people are no longer as religious as their fathers. There are still some small groups who wants to jihad but they leave Turkey to do it, even they see all of us as infidels. Again, don't misunderstand me, I believe in Islam but am not a religious person. Yes, there are still some dumb fucks out there who say stuff like "we will be like ottomans", "west is afraid of us", "world will be ours" bla bla. But hey, there are different kinds of extremist twats all around the world

BBC Special Report: Raqqa's Dirty Secret

Quote

The BBC has uncovered details of a secret deal that let hundreds of IS fighters and their families escape from Raqqa, under the gaze of the US and British-led coalition and Kurdish-led forces who control the city.

A convoy included some of IS’s most notorious members and – despite reassurances – dozens of foreign fighters.

Some of those have spread out across Syria, even making it as far as Turkey.

"We took out around 4,000 people including women and children - our vehicle and their vehicles combined. When we entered Raqqa, we thought there were 200 people to collect. In my vehicle alone, I took 112 people.”

Another driver says the convoy was six to seven kilometres long. It included almost 50 trucks, 13 buses and more than 100 of the Islamic State group’s own vehicles. IS fighters, their faces covered, sat defiantly on top of some of the vehicles.

Footage secretly filmed and passed to us shows lorries towing trailers crammed with armed men. Despite an agreement to take only personal weapons, IS fighters took everything they could carry. Ten trucks were loaded with weapons and ammunition.

The drivers point to a white truck being worked on in the corner of the yard. “Its axle was broken because of the weight of the ammo,” says Abu Fawzi.

This wasn’t so much an evacuation - it was the exodus of so-called Islamic State.

Back in May, US Defence Secretary James Mattis described the fight against IS as a war of “annihilation”.

"There was a huge number of foreigners. France, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Yemen, Saudi, China, Tunisia, Egypt...”

Quote

When the last of the convoy were about to cross, a US jet flew very low and deployed flares to light up the area. IS fighters shat their pants.”

The coalition now confirms that while it did not have its personnel on the ground, it monitored the convoy from the air.

When he finally made it back to safety, he was asked by the SDF where he’d dumped the goods.

“We showed them the location on the map and he marked it so uncle Trump can bomb it later,” he says.

Freed from Raqqa, where they were surrounded, some of the group's most-wanted members have now spread far and wide across Syria and beyond.

Yes i read that, it's a shame. Several French fighters among them were given a new task : go back to France and commit terror attacks. I see this as a deal between Sunnis and Kurds, but i still don't understand how the coalition accepted this.

Iam not that much surprised anymore, enough informations were posted and discussed here which show similar directions.

ISIS is a tool used on the chessboard to get rid of Assad, which was planned years before the conflict already if you can believe the wikileaks releases.

Remember when the russians did start heavily bombing IS Oil trucks, suddenly the coalition did wake up and before main media did report that sometimes no bombs were dropped by the coalition air missions.

The whole conflict would have never been that long with so many casualties without all these influences from powers abraod. Western coalition, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran,  Israel, other arab countries, whatever....

From my point of view, IS was the best thing that ever happened to Assad. Before them, the Western countries were looking for every possible way to get rid of him. After IS caliphate, it was over. On a military point of view, Syrian army hardly fought against IS, apart in Palmyra and Deir Ez Zor. On the contrary, IS main ennemies are Assad's direct opponents in Western Syria, mainly other Sunni Islamist factions.

You can find enough sources in the meanwhile which paint a different picture. The IS was used to get rid of him, to get him under pressure.

'The best thing what could happen for  Assad were actually the  Russians, because they saved his ass.

Obama hoped to use Islamic State as leverage against Assad, John Kerry reveals

Quote

Well before Russia’s military came to Bashar Assad’s aid in Syria, the Obama administration calculated that the Islamic State’s expansion in the region would force the Syrian president into negotiating with Washington, according to private comments Secretary of State John F. Kerry made last fall.

Did you listen to the leaked Kerry Audio Files (short ) ?

"John Kerry In Leaked Audio Admits U.S. Allowed Rise Of ISIS To Force Assad Out Of Power"

which was released by Wikileaks (longer version)

So... Does it mean that Obama tried to use terrorism against other independent country? If so why isn't he in Hague court?
