Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh) Discussion

Recommended Posts

you havent understand my example with furniture in somebodys home

there is difference between :

- opening shop with ethnic food

- demanding to ban native food

what they are doing is demanding to ban native food

there is huge difference between people who:

- come with other culture and not mess (Asians in my country never caused any problems, they have their shops, people visit them, they never demanded to close our shops because we sell products they might not sell, we have many people from Vietnam here and never heard about single problem)

- come with demands to replace your culture with their culture (Chechen refugees already beaten Georgians and Ukrainians for not obeying sharia, Saudi Immam demanding to change Polish law to sharia for sake of 0.08 % Muslims here)

makes difference

and yes, tax paying gives more rights than arriving to new place yesterday, because state functions from taxes for taxpayers,

among Chechen refugess it was told that less than 1 percent have job, but they now have 4-5 kids and demand paying them benefits similar to average Polish salary without need to work

several articles about their activity was in some local press mostly with notes about assaulted people or very vulgar sexual proposals on the streets,

good that we do not have sharia no-go zones shown hundreds times on YT with sharia-police

i never heard about problems connected with Vietnamese in my country nor with Hindu (Indians) , Egyptian Coptic Christian which i know escaped to Europe because of islamists and his last wish is turning place he escaped to into place he escaped from, cause i know guy who is native Egyptian just escaped with family when islamists came to kill Coptic people,

Most Muslims in the UK are decent, hard-working people and it's only a handful that get involved in anything stupid.

good and if they do not want sharia they should left to not break their opinion by jihadists, who should be evicted back and whose only activity is giving birth to another kid and teaching him jihad

but EUrope treats both groups the same, not violent decent hard working and jihadists, maybe those peacefull muslims themselves should get rid of sharia jihadists for sake of their view in Europe ?

and if USA or Russia or France bombed X, Y, Z country, i do not see any reason to pay for it by Spain, Italy, Czech for example

let than USA, Russia, France (examples) take such refugees and costs,

Please re-read the lists of active participants in recent A-stan and Iraq wars. Oh and don't forget recent Libya bombing campaign.

Terrorist attack in Tunisian resort in Sousse!

At least 27 people have been killed after an attack on the Imperial Marhaba hotel in the coastal city of Sousse in Tunisia, according to an Interior Ministry official quoted by Reuters.

Live coverage by SKy News http://news.sky.com/story/1508894/tunisia-gunmen-attack-two-tourist-hotels

Damn... Tunisia was used to be a quiet and nice country. I've been there twice and really enjoyed almost everything, Tunis was a great city to walk on foot and people were very friendly to help.

Now some fucks from ISIS decided to ruin the reputation of Tunisia and average visitor can be hit everywhere, unexpectedly - in a museum, tourist resort, on the beach :/

I'm not very well versed in international politics, so I wonder if anybody can explain to me why there isn't any international effort in to taking out the IS?

It serves purpose to many different actors. Only if it were to threaten important things, like resource/energy distribution/supply, the powerful would intervene for real.

I am of the opinion that people really need to be faced with the above realities, yet this forum rules disallow explicit footage, i recomend you remove it.

On your question: kju gave you a view. The issue is terribly complex given current geopolitics. There was a time not too long ago when we could expect from the Security Council (where this kind of stuff is decided) a relative consensus regarding terrorism and the agents perpetrating it. But we are living times where the remaing superpower of the cold war is not able to enforce its position and decide alone. Russia is awaking from a sleeping sovereignty and China is becoming a true economic challenge to all west economies. What this means is that they are earning power/influence which allows them to serve their interests as a nation in a more effective way. These interests do not justapose with western nations in all subjects, naturaly so. Where once, with a guise of Diplomacy, Military threat settled the issues, now predictably, real Diplomacy is showing itself insuficient to serve the same effect.

There is a line of thought that calls for a creative chaos where one is unable to control the events on ground, mostly with the purpose to negate control to the opposing entity. This terrorism is not just a method to bring fear to populations and neutralise their hopes, and with it manipulate them more easily, it is becoming a weapon in itself against enemies. Except that this weapon, history proves it, escapes the control of those which promoted and supported it:

Afgani "Freedom Fighters" > Al-Qaeda > ISIL / ISIS / Daesh > IS

Backlash.

Only an illusion was alowing the alliances to be formed against such an enemy, now the narrative supporting the illusion is failing at the high echelons of power. Terrorism has become pervasive and too cosy with intelligence agencies, one ceases to see a clear distinction between infiltrating terrorist cells to neutralise them and tolerance or objectively supporting them to fulfill shady and duplicitous objectives of those agencies.

The "Arab Spring" turned into the nightmare for the populations. From Lybia to Syria, to Iraq and Afganistan, an arc of chaos is formed where terrorism conquered its current strongholds. Forget about Gaddafi's and Assad's warnings that they were facing terrorists not only grieving populations.

The genie is out of the box since long time, what is failing is the pretense that the powers that be were truly united against it, and that the powers which supported it could control it.

This opinion is an extreme opinion which certainly finds much resistance everywhere, yet it is a documented opinion. Current global state of affairs calls for less pretending and steping out of "confort" zones or politically correct stances. Humanity is trully facing perilous times indeed. If interest shows and given time i can provide sources for it's premises.

Turkey is not interested in fighting ISIS. Erdogan wants to get rid of the Kurds and Assad, ISIS is the perfect tool for that.

Wikipedia has fairly decent maps:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Syrian_civil_war.png

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Iraq_war_map.png

The large desert areas in both countries seem somewhat meaningless / noone really "controls" them.

Or has anyone ever read they are used for smuggling or even to circumvent the frontlines?

Why is everyone so supportive of a military "solution" ?

Did it produce any result in Afghanistan ? Irak ? Lybia ?

The only thing we've achieved in those countries is creating more chaos, more extremism and more hatred towards the west.

Why would it be any different with IS ?

Who is "everyone"?

In the case of different actors its stuff like selling/testing (new) arms, gaining control over areas or groups,

weaken/defeat other actors, or even among the "only thing we achieved" you mention (chaos, extremism, hatred),

as well as many other reasons.

Oh no, I was talking about everyone in this thread.

But maybe I've been jumping on conclusion too quickly, sorry.

Reading the thread it felt like most of you guys were somewhat disappointed that X or Y weren't actively fighting the Islamic State.

ISIS executes women by beheading for the first time as the group kills two married couples for 'witchcraft and sorcery' in Syria

Known for their extreme brutalism and use of summary executions, ISIS have reached a new level of evil with activists reporting that the jihadi militants beheaded two women in Syria for alleged 'sorcery.'

It is believed to be the first time ISIS have executed a woman in Syria for crimes of 'witchcraft' and 'sorcery', the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor said today.

'The Islamic State group executed two women by beheading them in Deir Ezzor province, and this is the first time the Observatory has documented women being killed by the group in this manner,' Observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman said.
