IGG James 10 Posted October 10, 2014 Update, October 10th 2014 We are currently deployed on Operation Rising Dust on Altis, we are 3 weeks into the campaign and it's proving to be touch, but ultimately very enjoyable - it's a great time to get involved.Here's a picture from Sabre Platoon on their recent deployment for Operation Grand Slam I, Stratis Air Base. In other news, we recently announced our latest public server launch called Open Tactical, a scheduled public server which enforces teamwork and tactics in a encouraging and friendly environment, it's due to be launch this October, but we'll be posting much more about it soon. IGG James 10 Posted April 1, 2015 CLASSIFIED 01APR15 Operation Just Cause 2nd Battalion, 3 Marines, United States Marine Corps Following the rapid destabilisation of the middle east during 2014, a relatively unknown separatist group fled into the Mediterranean from the western coast of Syria, 3 months later they took control of Cyprus - 2 Months after NATO signed the Middle East peace treaty. Last month, the CIA passed intelligence to the department of defence supporting the assumption that the group is commanded by a collection of high ranking defectors from the war in Syria, including the former Field Marshal, General Javul Al’Kalali. Very little is known about their intentions except recent surveillance by the Air Force which has identified a missile launch site and a growing arsenal of military equipment, mostly soviet. Yesterday the President of the United States further condemned the occupation of Cyprus and the militarisation of its territory, officially no action can be taken due to the blocking of a motion by the UN Security Council. This morning the President ordered the deployment of 2nd Battalion, 3 Marines, USMC to the USS Boxer a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship. 3 Marines, under the command of Lt Col Coynes are due to arrive 30 miles south of Cyprus, where they are tasked with the surveillance of the defectors and the disruption of supply and logistics of the growing force. Because little is known about them, any intelligence gathered will be extremely important in gaining support for the deployment, 3 Marines are under strict orders of secrecy and subversion during the initial stages of the Operation, and as far as the State Department is concerned, the USS Wasp is just on a training exercise in the med. The USS Wasp houses a vast array of advanced defence systems and ground invasion capability. From it aircraft deck with MV-22, Pavehawk, Blackhawk and Apache aircraft, to its middle deck housing an plethora of amphibious assault vehicles and light and armoured vehicles. Further more, the wet-deck contains RHIBs and Patrol Boats and personnel submarines. Operation Just Cause aims to eliminate the threat of the separatists to the region, understand their connection to other groups operating in the middle east, their funding and supporters. Furthermore action will be taken to disrupt as much as possible their supply routes and when possible, to subversively close in on their infrastructure whilst remaining undetected until support for a public invasion can be reached.
