[SP Campaign] Hunter Six: Special Operations Unit

Thanks for the tip, I'll need to things over how to better inform the player about his progress.

enjoying the mission, except there is a slight issue with rearming teammates. it seems that after a unit rests, they do not rearm automatically (which would be cool). instead, you have to manually rearm them. about midway through the mission, rearming ceased to work. clicking on the rearm button would bring up the gear menu, however i could not add or remove any gear to/from the unit. not sure if anyone else has had a similar problem. just thought i would let you know. mission is fantastic otherwise!

I had that very same issue, I got round it just by using the debug console to add gear to the physical box.

Thanks for the feedback. I did a lot of tests, and the rearm always worked. Any ideas what might triggering the issue?

No idea, my mods consist of MCC,VTS Weapon resting, CBA, Mag_repack and JSRS. It is worth noting this is on an outdated version though so it may have been fixed.

I will look into it some more and see if I can narrow down any particular causes for you. Like I said, it has only happened midway through the mission. Worked fine in the beginning

I haven't tested a whole lot, but so far I have not encountered the problem again. But it did get me thinking, what if you incorporated the ARMA 3 virtual arsenal instead of the current setup? Just a thought

Heya

First of all, hell of a mission, been playing it for a while now and havent seen a bug or any weird stuff, love the whole sandbox idea.

Second, 2 things struck me and perhaps you could help me with those.

1. I noticed that in my team I got AI's with Tool Kits in the bag, yet they cant repair a vehicle if you have a flat tire or such, is this intended ?

and

2. All crates in Olympus and all FoB's are empty, are we not allowed to switch weapons, to lets say a sniper rifle or attach things like silencer ?

1. The toolkit is to repair the vehicles. Always worked for me, when I got a flat tire.

2. The crates are only to leave the stuff you don't want to use. You can equip your squad using the Squad Selection screen and pressing the REARM button by each operator. You can use silencers, sniper rifles etc.

Found the weapon rearm slot, thanks a bunch for that, love this scenario even more now :)

About point 2, the Tool kits and repair issue, I normally roll with Jax as medic and Razer as explosive experts as he spots IED's along the road, however still not able to repair the hunter even tho he has a Tool Kit in he's backpack.

I was hit by a IED today and blow my rear right tire to hell, disembarked Razer for a repair, but no such option. Had to limp about 5km to the nearest FoB for repair, perhaps I got the wrong team setup ?.

In generel this mission is great, I just live the escort the president mission the most, feels like I'm involved in something important :)

Oh I get it. Only repair specialist can fix vehicles. The only repair specialist in your squad is Frost. Check out the operators descriptions, as most of them has special skills that have an influence on your team, or special skills like repairing vehicles, disarming IED etc. :)

I found a 1.02 link on Armaholics(???), but when I tried to play it there was an error where it wouldn't 'show' in the campaign list.

I found a 1.02 link on Armaholics(???), but when I tried to play it there was an error where it wouldn't 'show' in the campaign list.

It will appear in the scenario list, not the campaign as it's only actually one mission, it just happens to be incredibly long!

Very good video - showed stuff on how to go about the mission as well as being really funny. Highly recommended (and the action starts around 14:00) :)

Hi Lato,

Wondering if you can help here;

I have a serious issue with my save games not staying with this mission... At first I put it down to the Steam Workshop Savegame bug.. so I copied the .pbo file into my steamapps\common\Arma 3\missions folder and launched it from there, exactly the same issue... I saved the game and died. Tried to load my save game and I couldn't (at first it gave me a CBA related error message) but on fixing that I have no option to REVERT or RESUME :(

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks for creating this mission Lato. I have enjoyed it so far. I had a small problem when arresting a civilian. I was not able to fit the civilian in my vehicle because it was full. So I drove back to the FOB while he ran behind the vehicle. When I got back to the FOB, he stayed in my squad and I could not get rid of him. I loaded an autosave and tried it again with a bigger truck. I told him to board the truck and we drove to the FOB. This time he was successfully turned over to base security and removed from my squad.

Also, I have a request. Can you turn off the hide bodies feature when someone is killed and you search their body? Sometimes I want to steal their ammo or weapons but I can't because they disappear so quickly. It's not a big deal but it might enhance the gameplay a bit. Thanks!

In my opinion "Steam Remains the Same"...garbage as ever.

Only a question for Lato - your mission man is superb,no doubt - why no updated version on Armaholic ??

Hi rhysduk and rikirikibitta, I downloaded latest hunter six mission from the steam workshop, extracted it with pboview program, opened up the mission in the editor and placed a game logic with enableSaving [ true, true ]; in the init line, then repacked the mission and put the file in the steam/steamapps/common/arma3/missions folder been playing this mission for days with no problem saving or resuming the mission, hope this helps. Lato1982 outstanding mission hope you've got more in the pipeline, probably one of the most immersive missions I have played in years

This doesn't work for me, I always get the missing downloadable content issue when trying to load my game. It's frustrating :(

Also, for missions like eliminating the priest do those also get more precise the more intel you get? there are a lot of chapels in the AO and searching every single one will take forever.

It is a kinda obvious dependancy error for some mod you´re using/activated... do you get some launch errors with ArmA3 or are you launching it with -nologs parameter? The mission should run and load savedgames fine cus it is vanilla (MANW request)

I know it's a dependency error but it's blank and doesn't tell me what addons are missing. I'm not missing any I will load my save right after dying and still get the error, I noticed I get it with any scenario or campaign I play (or almost all of them)

rpt says this

2:07:41 Missing addons detected: 2:07:41   
2:07:41 Warning Message: You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.

Wow, never saw a blank eror before, that´s odd... but that´s BIS, so everything is possible =P

Try a steam verification of your installed files, maybe some vanilla addon is missing/corrupted!
