jamez_5 1 Posted August 20, 2014 Hey guys. Ok hopefully someone can help me. I have been playing Arma 3 straight for past 3-4 months with no problem. Last night I decided to play Dayz. After 12ish minutes I would get the message "no message received "time". Now I understand this happens when the servers go down however they were not going down. I was playing with friends who had no problem at all. I tried multiple times and always around 12 minutes it would give me that message. Then when I tried to get out of the game it would give me "dayz not responding". After being frustrated and couldn't fix it I wanted to play arma 3. Well the curse has carried over and is now doing it in Arma 3. I just uninstalled and re-installed A3 and still no luck. I am still getting the message and Arma will then say "not responding" in my task manager. Please tell me someone knows what to do. Thanks in advance! St. Jimmy 272 Posted August 20, 2014 Does your whole internet go down for a while? Some people including me have had that kind of a problem in Arma. Never found a reason why it started and how it stopped to happen.
Wildgoose 1 Posted August 20, 2014 Try "verify integrity of game cache" in steam properties.... Right click Arma 3 in steam installed game list....go to properties.....go to local files.....its in the list. I found 2 files needed updating after last patch, worked for me. jamez_5 1 Posted August 20, 2014 I tried that also with no luck. I have also tried running in different compatibility modes.
soldierman 16 Posted August 20, 2014 You say youre connected but have you tried to load a page at that time ?. I had a similar issue where i would get 100% packet loss from playing arma. Turned out it was an issue with my internet connection and had to get an engineer out to fix it.
Billywob 10 Posted August 20, 2014 Updating your drivers for your network interface controller will most likely solve this. I had the same issues a few weeks back.
dsiOne 10 Posted August 21, 2014 I have this issue too with ArmA3, idk about DayZ:SA. I could be loading a webpage in the in-game browser and still lose connection in ArmA3.
blackpixxel 53 Posted August 21, 2014 I have exactly the same problem. But It won't appear when I close my browser (Opera) before I join a multiplayer session. Just try this. Internet Explorer does not seem to cause this problem.
