All in Arma Terrain Pack (AiA TP) - A1/A2/OA terrains from BI in A3

could someone clarify one thing for me: if I only want Takistan and nothing else, is there a version of this monstrosity for that?

actually, is there some cfg file that I can install as a mod and just copy over my Takistan PBOs from my OA folder?

Just use AiA - that's all you need if you already have the maps as part of A3:OA

It includes all maps from previous Arma games made by Bohemia Interactive. But community made maps are also mostly supported.

It seems, at least for me - a PW6 user, that trying to use AiA TP without AIA SA or AIA SA Lite still returns errors about missing AiA Core and the like.

hmm, not for me or any of my Users. We use AiA_TP as the core map pack + whatever A2 map we're currently playing on i.e Reshmaan. No errors reported from more than 100 public user or Unit members that match your errors. Are you trying to play missions relying on A2 units or weapons or something ?

Not at all. I can't get past ARMA 3's initial loading without the error and the game closing itself. I've actually encountered this problem for months every time I make a new collection in PW6, as soon as I try to add AiA TP without AiA SA or AiA SA Lite I get errors.

Honestly not heard of that before.

Are you sure your mission isn't referencing those mods at the top of the SQM (it's good practise to clear out Required mods from both sections) as sometimes mission editors forget they were running say JSRS or some other client mod. Which then gets coded into the Mission file as a requirement - REGARDLESS of whether anything using that rogue mod is actually placed on the map. That's my bet

dblack850 is just uses another mod that breaks it and he blames AiA for it. Thats all.

He should sort out his mess and all would be fine.

The problem is that this occurs even before the game loads. I'm not trying to play any particular mission. I couldn't even load ARMA and get to the editor to place a unit if I wanted. If you have any tips or ways I can help to show my problems, I'll definitely do it. I didn't come here claiming to be an expert or to complain.

Yep' date=' you caught me. I came here to make AiA the villain and defame them while completely ignoring any other variables that could be causing the issue.

Stop trying to start a witch hunt when I only come here to report [b']my[/b] observations. I've had this issue even when I'm only running CBA or CBA and JSRS. Who knows, maybe it's PW6? Maybe I have something going on with my game's settings that I don't know about? Obviously if I had the answer, I wouldn't come here posting. Maybe you should sort out your issues with how you perceive someone's report and respond to it and stop taking objective topics so subjectively and personally and all would be fine.

Now, if anyone has any tips or would like to help me out with troubleshooting, I'm always willing to learn for myself and the betterment of the community and addons that I enjoy. So far Serjames has done his best. I'm not a complete imbecile but I never came here claiming to be an expert either. There's no reason to become defensive all because I'm stating I'm having an error when I know people who've made far more idiotic mistakes and blamed it on BI or an addon developer.

I didn't come here to fabricate problems, report issues that I'm having while running 100+ mods, or whine for a quick fix. I came here to report my issue to more experienced users, seek help, and at the very least offer documentation of what's been happening for me so that maybe one day when someone's looking through the code, they might say "well, that might be an issue for someone" and fix it. Or better yet, see my posts and know what's causing it.

EDIT: I'm doing a binary search now, testing different combinations, because AiA TP finally loaded up fine with just CBA, JSRS, and RHS. If nothing else, maybe I'll actually help someone further down the line who'll have the same issue. I think that addon conflicts and issues are worth investigating and documenting for players who may have future issues or for any future addon development and comparability.

checked AiA, it says there it's 15 GB, is there a different version you were talking about?

Looks like the latest update broke being able to use Sangin with the pack anymore. :(

But otherwise an excellent mod!

There are two version. One for people without A2 and OA etc that one is the larger 'Stand alone' Pack. The other one is just all the configs you need etc.

I still think Your best bet is still to just bite the bullet and grab AiA_tp off of PW6. That way you've got it, can access all the A2 maps & Community map from that point onwards and Pw6 will only Delta patch changes so you won't need to DL GB of data each time. That's my opinion anyway.

I just don't have the disk space, unfortunately. every GB counts, and 15 for just one mod, when some of these terrains require only a couple of hundred of MB, is out of the question :/

You could try armaholic - or indeed just make some up yourself. Pretty easy to do, especially with the likes of ALiVE etc.

Or you can always delete some porn. Just don't re-download it while playing!

Do you have all required addons for Sangin? There are even more strange errors, are you sure you have full AiA TP with all updates?

I downloaded the full pack, but will do so again to double check. The rest of the maps all work flawlessly.

Looks like I missed something. A fresh install with the hotfix seems to be working ok.
