All in Arma Terrain Pack (AiA TP) - A1/A2/OA terrains from BI in A3

Sorry, my bad, but i didn't get your suggestion.

I have the same issue: when switching from a map to another sometimes i get a Ctd (usually this don't happen if i swith from saharani to stratis and the and then to takistan).

Do I have to save the mission as multiplayer?

before you double click another map, after you finished with a map in the editor, leave the editor tab in the main menu, go to any other tab like play>multiplayer or something, only then go back to the editor tab and choose another map, this should spare you from getting CTDs.

That is shallow water. This video shows it a bit deeper:

That oversaturated green hue just isn't what you really see under the surface, even in deeper waters, it's either edited to be like that or the camera doesn't capture it right, i.e white balance being wrong.

I have seen quite green water in the Baltic sea, but yes you are right it's probably that green due to the camera.

Regardles of color I personally do not think it's good to use the Baltic sea as a reference. It's so polluted and messed up that I dont want to see it ingame in addition to RL. Murky and darker I dont mind but please no hypertrophicated water..

I don't have a .rpt file to upload because the game never loads. I've deleted all the old .rpt files and then try to run the game as I've mentioned and after it gives me both error messages and quits, there's no .rpt file.

I have the same problem.

The character is sitting down every few meters. This is a bug that affect to all maps.

And if you load the mappack with another one like 'NWASZOGO' the problem will be repeat itself.

This ruined the gameplay.

I test the same map with A3MP mappack and the LOD of the trees isn't so severe.

Right now even in 20-30 you have tree and plants in low quality.

A3MP is most certainly using the same data as does AiA TP.

Feel free to diff their pbos vs AiA TP, or better yet extract them

and use winMerge to diff the p3d and paa.

For some reason you are loading some/most of the AiA (TP) data twice.

From the modfolders listed it is not clear which is responsible.

So you either have to use some search tool and look for the file names,

or remove modfolders one by one to find the one with the faulty data.

Many thanks. Looks like I will replace A3MP. I hope @gdsn_islandlightingfixes will work with your map collection, because I do not play A2 maps with standard A3 lighting. Or maybe you already handled it internally, will have to read your FAQ :)

No no, no conclusion. I was just thinking loud before I have downloaded and used your package! It's good you already handled lighting! 6GB now downloaded, will love to use it :)

Do you also handle lighting of maps which are not included in your package, e.g. Sangin, Fallujah or Clafghan?

Any chance the Porto could be changed back to the A3 water? Sure, it's far from perfect, but the greenish water on a map like that is a bit weird.

Someone should make all Cherna buildings enterable, that's what Cherna really needs, otherwise is a map that's gonna die sooner than later. An SMD Chernarus maybe?

Community made terrains also use the lighting made by Fabio Chavez.

However the plan is to have a set of different configurations eventually (based on region or type).

would it be possible to choose lighting depending on what terrain type is there most (ie, desert skies is more sand is registered above sea level)

For some reason you are loading some/most of the AiA (TP) data twice.

From the modfolders listed it is not clear which is responsible.

So you either have to use some search tool and look for the file names' date='

or remove modfolders one by one to find the one with the faulty data.

Very weird. When I go through the folders, I only find one (1) file of each kind that starts with "aia_". When I have the problem, I'm using Arma3Sync, so I'm wondering if that's causing the issue. PwS doesn't seem to have the issue, HOWEVER... With PwS, I do still get the "Addon 'AIA_Buildings_Config' requires addon 'AIA_Buildings_Data'", but the game then loads.

Guess I'll fall back to PwS to start the game again, but it was nice to be able to play with addon load order with A3Sync.

The file name has no relevance to the game - the inner prefix is what matters.

If you can load the game via PWS, please send me the rpt again because it listed then all loaded files.

Hey AllInArmaTP guys just though you should see this ticket as your Terrain pack causes crashes from time to time and more commonly on Sahrani.

Is there some secrect place where changelog or something is posted? I always see updates but never know what they contain. :) I can thank PWS for that one

The 2014-09-07 update is out. :bounce3:

You are seeing correctly .. 7 days late. :(

This is mainly as it has become a full replacement - so delete the old version first!

Note: PWS handles everything itself correctly.

As such the data preparation and upload have taken way longer than planned. This is due to a mishap on my side.

However in return all textures now have A2 technology compression meaning slightly smaller size without quality impact.

I have automated the process even more and thanks to the Syncrify application have an easy and a working way to do

differential updates from my computer to the build and distribution server - aka it takes way less time most of the time.

In return the update got a few more unplanned additions during the midweek work from the delay.

Onto the content of the update:

This time with a more descriptive way - I hope.. feedback welcome.

Understand that this is the first step - the full integration of the new open building variants

will be completed with the next update. There are also some issues we are aware of.

However this means all community made terrains using these A1 buildings will get auto upgraded as well!

Fabio Chavez has adjusted brightness of general terrain and Chernarus lighting,

has replaced the Chernarus midDetailTexture with the default A3 one [experimental] and has reduced the area of flare effect around sun by 50%.

He is eagerly waiting for your comments and feedback. :)

Final main topic to mention is better support for community made terrains.

There should be no more missing model/texture errors.

Also there might be a few more terrains without pondline bug! Please test again and report back.

Oh and let's not forget the randomly crouching issue solved at last!

You find a couple more smaller resolved issues listed in the first post.
