All in Arma Terrain Pack (AiA TP) - A1/A2/OA terrains from BI in A3

What is the difference between this terrain pack and "all in arma standalone"?

I see the "Standalone" version is way bigger than this one. I already have this terrain pack, do I need to download the SA version for it to be fully functional?

Unfortunately this is by design. Cannot change this.

If you create a mission on Chernarus, it has to add a dependency to it.

In what case is this a problem?

As written in the FAQ in the first post:

Q: Do I still need AiA TP when I have AiA SA?

A: No. AiA TP is part of AiA SA.

and

AiA TP: It allows you to use all your beloved Arma terrains by BI in Arma 3.

vs

AiA SA: From terrains to weapons, vehicles, missions and eventually infantry - all your beloved Arma content available inside Arma 3.

For anyone that cares and/or could use the information.

All of the following maps are confirmed working (At Least in Editor and with me flying around in them) with AiA-TP and with NO BROKEN Grids.

CLAfgan

Sadly I could not get the following to work.

Schwemlitz (texture grid bug)

Schwemlitz Winter (texture grid bug)

Zernovo (texture grid bug)

I made following tests :)

Here some of my expierence i had with the AiA Maps (on each tested map i load the WholeLottaAltis Mission to check if it works)


  • Celle - mapsize was to small for mission, didnt played it
  • Chernarus - works good
  • clafghan - played 1 hour, no problems
  • everon2014 - played a couple of hours with no problems until the "massive delay" bug started
  • FATA - waterlinebug, didnt played it
  • Podagorsk v 1.1 - works good (4 hours played)
  • isladuala "lite" - worked for hours, i aborted to test other maps^^
  • lingor - doesnt work, best map in Armaverse. Too bad. Freezes while setup the mission
  • napf - worked good for hours, great map but have sometimes waterlinebug
  • panthera2 - played 4 hours, aborted for next mission
  • sara (saharani from the mappack) - same as lingor, freeze
  • saharani full port standalone - 3 hours played, no problem
  • taviana - freeze
  • Zargabad - optical boring map, aborted

It's a problem for A3mp users : they won't be able to play my missions if i save them under AIA .

A3mp doesn't add any dependency except the mapname .

Still prefer AIA but i have to switch mod before saving my mission .

Sorry I can't support that kinda of backwards compatibility to A3MP.

Alduric has officially stopped its development and support too. People just have to move one.

In the meantime you can remove the dependency manually from the mission.sqm.

Just extract the pbo once done and remove the line(s).

Background: AiA splits configs from data containers to allows way smaller patches if they are just config changes.

Fata works just fine, use the pondless version

IMPORTANT INFO FOR SERVER ADMINS

The buildings.pbo was faulty in the AiA TP lite version on PWS. This was corrected and has been published now.

I have a vague bug report here. I have made a mission on Rahmadi and Southern Sahrani, but once trying to load them in MP after the initial loading screen is done, a second one shows up that'll never complete and will leave your game unresponsive, despite still running. You can't cancel or type anything in chat.

I'm not entirely sure about when this happens, but having moved a mission to altis, by changing it's name and therefore nothing in the mission files, those missions didn't show any issues.

Making just an empty mission doesn't appear to provoke with problem though, and since the servers is running some mods, it's hard to really be sure about this problem.

The server doesn't have any .rpt and the mission has a lot of addon dependencies. I'll send them to you anyway, but I'm not sure if it'll be of much use.

I'm not getting any update notification in PWS. I even Diagnose the whole thing and it passed OK. Is there something wrong. I think I'm gonna dich the whole PWS thing for good...

i reviewed the brightness and tweaked it a bit (should come with the next patch).

Looks great. Will this affect other maps too? I find that some custom maps such as Clafghan and Panthera are too dark on a clear, sunny afternoon while in A3MP both maps have no lighting issues. The lighting appears like its cloudy.

this is awesome work. thank you very much! Kju and the others who helped this amazing pack come to life after tons of work.

edit - one request if i may. could you support sizeOfMap = call BIS_fnc_worldArea; and middleOfMap = getArray (configFile >> "CfgWorlds" >> worldName >> "centerPosition"); ?

both give errors when i try use them. pity becuase they are pretty useful.
