One suggestion for future work: please consider to allow mission makers to enable or disable the scripts which are auto executed by the vehicles inits. You can create a single module with several fields on it that editor can place in mission to activate all the desired features in one click, but please leave active by default only the mandatory ones for the mod to work.

We currently play Unsung via All in Arma in our server (as we moved to Arma3 only) using our custom Arma3 NAM units (not released yet) and this is really a problem for Arma3 compatibility although the idea was good for Arma2. Worse case are sctipts such as the hot lz one included in the hueys. It spawns Arma2 units which are replaced by modern era ones by AiA... We had to disable that on our own directly to get rid of this side effect.

If you need help with scripting just let me know. Probably I can take a look on it when you have doubts

We had several heated debates about those vehicle scripts. We are currently working on the A3 update, so any "unsanctioned" port is bound to have issues... can't speak for the whole team, but personally I recommend playing in A2 until such time as we actually make it work in A3 ;)

the quote you gave and the question don't seem to match, i.e.

what is "map fixes fast"?

So, I would like to get a classlist, it will help me a lot with doing missions.

What is more as map fixes I meant:

*filling empty areas with with objects :)

*fixing weird graphic bug with vegetation rendering

*fixing low lands (cant even get it working in editor)

a lot of them happen in chernarus too, there will always be problems loading veg LOD's in arma. in unsung maps with so much vegetation this is compounded.

also for many maps, we don't have the original unbin version, so problems cannot easily be fixed.

this is optimisation, as otherwise the rendering issues (Above) would be worse

Unsung doesn't work w/ other mods. It was built as a "total conversion" mod, so any interaction w/ other mods is untested and likely to fail. The only supported way to make Unsung work is as per directions w. no other mods.

No wonder its crashing. Apart from our mod which is 4 -6 gigs you trying to run all that too ? :eek:

I think something wrong with new UH-1 gunship flight models it's behavior look like H-6 or even antsy, anyway behavior of UH-1 with and without guns differ.

That's because what we had to work with was limited. Since I was doing a large part of the helicopter models by myself as a part-time deal (since I have a different job that pays the bills) I did what I could. You are actually the first one to notice :)

Hi,

I was experimenting with unit reskins and prepared a small A3 resking pack, for seals and marines. The problem I have is that I can´t model anything in 3D and therefore I can´t make any vests or helmets. Currently I used the vests from VTE mod for the pictures.

The model materials where changed so that no undesired shadows on clothes appear. The units also show proper blood textures. If you are interested on them for an eventual A3 release, please contact me, as I can give them to you ;-)

Currently the seals use two tiger camo variations, as they used in real life. See example pic below:

First of all a big thank you for this great mod! We play since a year a selfmade coop campagne und have a lots of fun.

Current i have 3-4 questions, maye

1: In the newest version there are 2 new maps: mekong delta and phu bai. When i want take a chopper-fly for overview, the game crashed. In a another forum, they say there are problems with small maps. Do you guys have the same problem with this new maps and Choppers?

2: In a picture here in this thread, you guys carry a M113 with a chinook. So i need ACE or a another mod for this or do you use a script?

3: Actually we do a lot of missions in our campagne and we want test ACE and ACRE. Before i install this, must i note some special problems with unsung and this mods? Yesterday i download ACE, ACE-X, CBA-OA and ACR-Light and i get everytime by arma 2 start a message, that ACE-Unsung need a addon "ace_c_wep_magazines". So i forget something for ACE?

4: Radio! Actually i add for every mission new music-tracks. In your mod-description you talk about a virtual military radio with commercials and music.

I only found in the editor a radio, that plays music/commercials, but very quiet. Is there a another way to play music with the RTOs radio pack ?

Yes, in the small new maps made by showmaker, and also in Ia Drang valley, the maps crash if your viewdistance is above 2000 and you fly around. Try setting viewdistance at 1500m.

We use Mando hitch- see the demo mp mission Evolution for example of this.

For the function to work you need only:

1. the Mando folder,

2. the Mando parts in the Init.sqf and

3. the Mando parts in the description.ext

Sorry I can't help on this, maybe another team mate can? my clan never uses ACE or ACRE, but i think others might.

There are two radio types: military and transistor.

1. military is a "weapon" and must be placed in a unit or in an ammo crate as a weapon, assuming CBA is working ok, and all players have the same version of CBA running as the server, it will then play when you carry it around. It plays war chatter from vietnam war.

2. transistor radio - this can be found in editor under objects and can be placed in bases. it plays music and adverts from the period, including US forces commercial radio.

Well not really but you can use the attach to command and attach the transistor to the unit. :/

Regarding the volume, well hey ghetto blasters didn't arrive till the 80's. Sorry AM radios are from the period and therefore simulated accordingly.

Maps working with 1500m viewdistance, think we got a lot of fun on phu bai. And i test the mando hitch mod next days.

The question with ace has been done. We have now ACRE and thats is enough for the moment :)

edit: Maybe one small question. We dont play with ace, so we doesnt have a good medic-system. The way with the three Moduls is fine, but doesnt work always. So i see you add in the version 2.6 a modul for the knifes and so. There are also medipacks. I didnt test them, are they usefull? Or do you guys have a idea for a nice medic-system without ace?

i made the medic pack, and colum made it into a module - place it on your map, then place mash (support menu in editor) or medic supply crate to grab the med kits. they are a once only heal deal

can also be looted from ambulance and dead enemy medics

they dont always work on foot injuries sustained from a punji trap
