Aircraft elevators/ailerons

Recommended Posts

This is probably the wrong place to post this, but could someone tell me what controls ailerons and elevators movement? Is it handled within the model? It's just I've noticed on a number of models the elevators move in the inverse way they should. So for example, when I want to pitch the aircraft up, the aircraft pitches up but the elevators are moving to the position they would if I was trying to pitch down.

Is this an easy fix in the config or is this indeed handled in the model?

It's part of the model config -- for those ailerons and elevators you may have to swap each of their angle0 and angle1 values.

...meaning you need an unbinned model to work on

it's an easy fix if you have the mlod

Ah right I see, thanks.

How would I go about getting the mlods of a release model? I'm guessing the only way would be to contact the author?

Or in a few cases them having release the MLODs separately or even as part of the release; part of the big deal of the Arma 2 sources release for Arma 3 was BI making almost all of the MLODs for official A2 content available on a don't-need-to-contact-us-for-each-item basis.
