spitfire007 10 Posted July 30, 2014 Hi all you experienced coders. As the subject says ... I am looking for a coder to be my mentor. I want to revive the wasteland mission as it is getting rather stale. I can solve most problems myself as I have had a few years coding experience in other languages. The MP aspects of Arma 2 on the other hand are still a mystery to me. I would love to hear from anyone who would be happy to mentor me ! If someone needs a few bucks for a per issue problem they could help me with, I would also be happy to pay for your valuable time. Cheers,

If someone needs a few bucks for a per issue problem they could help me with, I would also be happy to pay for your valuable time. Cheers, I can help out if you get really stuck Honestly I also tried editing wasteland once upon a time but got extremely frustrated because of the unpredictable aspects of the many random scripts running. I simply wanted to add groups of AI that wandered around and hunted players, but every time I spawned in any AI they would be instantly removed by some other unknown script. Instead of searching for hours I just decided to work from the ground-up And instead of creating wasteland...I made Survival instead. What I am trying to say is, I really push for people creating their own projects from the ground up instead of modifying others. It makes debugging and etc much easier because it is a massive hassle trying to figure out why your script isn't working just to find out that another script you are unaware of is messing with your script. It also allows you to really enact your own vision and creativity!
spitfire007 10 Posted July 31, 2014 Wow ... what a great misson idea you made there. Love it. Your right about the frustrations involved with wasteland. Perhaps I might start from the ground up after all !
