My responses on Twitter:

Run with your weapon lowered to decrease weapon inertia and increase aiming stability.#Arma3Tips

Avoid becoming exhausted by taking small breaks or "breathers", but remember to watch your sector when doing so.#Arma3Tips

Don't use 3rd person simply because you "like the way your guy looks".#Arma3Tips

New one just for here:

Utilize "Free Look", it's helpful in many different way to include checking a sector without moving your weapon off the main sector your watching and scanning your surrounding while holding any type of linear movement.#Arma3Tips

I'd like to point out in WWII the Allies believed every piece of machinery on the battlefield is there to support infantry, and that didn't go very well until they started believing otherwise. This especially applies in an armor battle (though there aren't so many of those in Arma) where there are no infantry besides crewmen whose tanks have been toasted.

Your squadleader is your boss.

Always check your magazine before going into the fight.

Use smoke grenades on open fields.

Stay in contact with your squadmembers.

Never leave armor without infantry, and infantry without armed support.

A smoke grenade can turn from concealment into a bullseye incredibly easily.

If the enemy sees you going behind a bush, he will shoot it.

Sometimes, a smoke grenade is a great way of telling the enemy where you AREN'T.

1.) If they're good for one bullet, they're good for the whole mag.

2.) When in doubt, grenade out.

3.) Arma 3 Hardcore Mode enlists you into the military, you will start playing in 6 months.

If you happen to get caught with no cover, you better kill, or be killed. For the enemy has no mercy for you.

There are two kinds of Army's. Those with an Air force, and the defeated.

Take a Medic, an Engineer, and something or someone with a rocket launcher. Chances are, your going to need them all.

Don't shoot at anything with thermal sights, or a cannon. Chances are, if it shoots back, your not returning anything.

Don't reload unless you have to, the more you reload, the more likely you'll end up with a 1 round mag.

The AAF are known as "Green Backs" for a reason. I had a group of 3 literally step on me in a shadow in the greenest patch of grass i could find. They didn't make it much farther.

Playing dead among a group of dead fresh soldiers could save your life with multiple benefits.

Shoot if you can see them, suppress if he hides, and advance with cover against your enemy. Posing as an aggressive threat causes them to over react or screw up to the point of being very easy to overwhelm.

A nice little technique I'm using for checking corners. (Mostly for first person only players) :)

Try to move in a team if you can and always use cover. Concealment can only hide you for so long and when the enemy finds you, you will wish that you had used cover.

To enjoy the limitless Arma 3 Editor, learn to script gradually using shared stuff on forum, BI wiki, youtube, etc....remember to create randomization in your missions for replayability. To enjoy infantry gameplay, find a great suppression mod/script.

If you are a sniper, count to 3 or 5 between each shot, AI won't react so quickly to your position.

If you've never flown, then don't start in multiplayer. (Well, with the exception of a bootcamp someone may be holding.) Practice in singleplayer till you can take off and land and leave the aircraft in once piece. Nap of the earth flying is helpful too, but not totally necessary. When helicopter DLC comes, practice with both, you never know when you'll need either.

Cars are not impenetrable fortresses, so you should try to avoid hiding behind them if possible.

Remember, if you're worried about dying clearing a room, grenades are quite handy. Even if the enemy hide, you should at least be able to take a position in there.

Smoke grenades have many uses. They can signal, conceal, and confuse the enemy when needed.

not every kill shot is a shot closer to survival

if it is not the aim to kill but to survive there is no need to shoot

the question is "do you Want the shot or do you Need it"

sometimes it is good to be the idiot spraying, because an idiot can fool the masses

Don't fight your weapon, fight with your weapon.

In other words, wait for the sight picture to move onto the target, don't correct unless you have to.

In another other phrase, use the sway to line up the perfect shot.

Just wait. Chances are someone is going to get bored, and move their position. That's exactly what you've been waiting for.
