Screen tearing when tired.

Recommended Posts

I've just started playing again after a month off.

noticed a huge screen tear when my character was exhausted. it blinks like the exhaust effect aswell.

I could only fix it partially, this made it see-through, with post-process anti-aliasing.

Didn't have this problem before.

Intel Core i7 3820 @3.60 Gzh

8 GB ram

Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 (running 337.88 driver)

Strange. Top half looks like AMD Radeon with the bottom being Nvidia.

Hmm. Sometimes I get weird contrast switches, but it's whole screen and usually after alt-tabbing. alt-tabbing again usually fixes it.

I've had that as well. No, this is much more annoying. Instead of the blurred tired/exhaustion effect, this screen tear keeps blinking in and out. and before I put on post-processing anti-aliasing, the bottom half would be solid freeze frame of the previous rendered frame. blocking half the screen.

Has anyone found a fix to this? I just bought Arma 3 on the steam summer sale and have only about 20 hours played, but this same issue just started happening to me last night.

Hmm When I first fire up the game and play everything looks washed out as if no colour settings have been applied, Alt tabbing always loads all my settings, been like that for a long time, probably not related but throw it out there.

Can anyone reproduce it? Like going into the editor and make it happen? Then it should be easy to check if some particular graphics setting causes it. Flip every switch, hump every button.

Or is it some scripted post process effect gone wrong in some mission?

It was gone when I tried to reproduce it today. Will keep an eye out though
