Keep up the great work, Vasilyevich!

I added some first and last names that you can use if you want to, and fixed a few minor errors with the existing ones (Svendsenr -> Svendsen, Jans -> Jan, Bjorn -> Bjørn). Now there's 48 first names and 48 last names. I sorted the list alphabetically to make sure there were no duplicates. I've tested that it works with non-ASCII, Norwegian letters (ÆØÅ/æøå). (Look at #4 in my team there and guess what 'stor' in 'Lstor' is short for. You already had the L in the list ;) )

By the way, there's a small typo in unit selection in the editor. Under Norwegian units, 'Infantry' is spelled 'Infantery'.

Cool, thanks man - i will push it with the next update, it might take some more days tho because i'm reworking parts of the config to make it easier for me to add new units like special forces.

I'm also trying to impelemt a equipment randomization script, like the AGRESSORS mod has, but it makes my head hurt :D

I'm thinking about making the vehicle textures only one color for wood and then another one for desert, because i'm not happy with how the camouflage pattern applys to the vehicles... and i can't fix it without spending ALOT of time on it. Most of the norwegian vehicles are one color only anyway (atleast those who i see on photos).

Cool stuff :) But.. the Norwegian military doesn't use any M16/AR-10 pattern rifles. The HK 417 7,62 x 51 mm NATO marksman rifle is the closest one.

Bweh.. i must have been somewhere else while implementing this, i'll exchange it then - you could argue that is looks somewhat like an C8 variant that the FSK uses :P It is hard to be 100% accurate here, because of the mod limitation, i could ofcourse add more mods but i really want to keep it at one, maximum two required mods to keep the mod as accessible as possible (does that make sense.. ? ^^)

There will also be an "Breacher" class with m1014 Shotgun normaly the FSK uses the Benelli M1, but there is none in the weapons pack... you see the problem i'm having here ? :D

And with the Bootcamp patch i will have to see if the weapons pack i'm using atm gets fixed (sound wise) or if i need to use another one... i'm a bit worried about that tbh :S

Classnames for what ? there is a classname document in the weapons pack addon folder.

No, of course, I understand. But the MAS weapon pack you are using includes an HK417, why don't you just swap the SR25 for that one?

I meant classnames for your equipment. The uniforms, helmets, vests, and backpacks.

So... someone said "special forces" (it could be that it was myself ^^) so i included some.. hope you enjoy - oh and there is also a .bikey, a classname list and an LEA Loadout Manager addon to make your life easier :)

If you run DevBuild or after the Bootcamp Update, you will need THIS PATCH for the weapon pack that this mod requires. Please make sure to use it (but only then).

Changelog:

v1.3

- new "FSK" special forces in multi and black camouflage

- new class "Breacher" for special forces (both camos)

- new class "Explosive Specialist for special forces (both camos)

- sniper with ghillie suit (wood and desert camo)

- all vehicles now have "real" camos, but are mono color.

- more norwegian names (thanks to Lstor)

- typo fixed (thanks again Lstor)

- adjusted shoulder patches on the crew uniform

- norwegian names for the units in singleplayer groups

PS: I just found out that for the units to function with Zeus it requires one norwegian unit preplaced on the map... i don't understand why that is, and i will try to fix it O.o

Only activated addons can be added (i.e., addons preloaded by the mission). All official addons are activated by default, but unofficial ones are activated only when an object contained in such addon is present in the mission. If that's not the case, you can use activateAddons or BIS_fnc_activateAddons to activate them. This is however possible only at the mission start - on the fly activation is not possible.

Awesome job! I'm running a small ArmA community with a bunch of friends, all of us Norwegians. So this will definitely be in the next content-pack update! Speaking of which, we use the ALiVE-mod on all our missions. What is the factions classname? I couldn't seem to find it anywhere. (Fairly new to scripting and content-making, so if there's a rule-of-thumb for figuring this out that I've missed, feel free to help me out).

They look stunning, thanks for the great job!

Classname is:

NOR_UNITS

for the faction. Be aware that with the sound patch for the NATO weapons pack the silenced weapons have no sound because it is a temporary fix. If you want to have sound you can always dismount the silencers on the FSK Special Forces weapons, or use vanilla ones with silencers :)

I just figured that out, found out about the config viewer.

It seems as though the units do not work with ALiVE, as none of them get spawned for whatever reason. I have no idea what might cause this, or how to fix it. But if you've got a clue what might be the issue, It'd be awesome to have this mod working with ALiVE!

Also: The AT Desert backpack is broken!

Thanks for pointing that out vrakpant. Regarding ALiVE: i don't know what to do to make the mods work together, i might look into it later. In case it is as frustrating as Curator/Zeus (hope not) it will take longer :)

Hello Vasilyevich, first off i LOVE the pack, amazing work, never though anyone would make a Norwegian Army pack for arma.

i have a couple of suggestions for more units if interested, if not ignore the following part:

so since your doing a Norwegian army pack, i though i would through in some navy side ideas :P

lets start shall we?

my first suggestion is to add these units into the game, its the Navy special forces for those who wonder, here is a reference picture.

like for me it looks like its Navy ish color uniform, and then teal colored vest and helmet, it would be awesome if you could add these units.

and then a officer of course, like you have 2 chooses either the traditional suit which is shown below:

it would be nice if you could do rank of commander on the officer uniform if you choose to make the uniform. :)

Looks good, i'll do it - don't know how long it will take tho.. the Officer uniform looks pretty complicated because afaik there is no uniform in arma 3 which looks like it (just the model, not the textures). but i'll try, the beret should be doable. As said, i'm rather busy this week and weekend, so expect it somewhere next week (no promise tho). If you could provide some more reference pics and/or a weapon list please PM it to me :)

I also noticed that you've set the priority to 10 in the config.bin. I could look into this for you tomorrow and see if I figure it out, but I've never messed around in a .bin, unfortunately. If I figure anything out, I'll of course let you know about it.

that looks awesome, just if possible make the helmet like a teal color and you got it, looks awesome so far... and yeah i had a feeling that the officer uniform would be a bit complicated, but what about the other 1? i think it looks kinda like the 1 that is already in arma, but your the 1 doing this mod, am not, its up to you, its not like a really need thing, just some extra stuff that would add more things into the mod :)

but i really liked where your heading with the navy colored soldiers that you showed, keep up the awesome work.

Since i didn't find anything to that patch he has over his name i had to make it myself:

When i google that, all i get are pictures from coastlines :) they still look good tho ^^
if possible make the helmet like a teal color
There is a teal colored helmet in the mod already, i just picked the wrong one by mistake \o/

Could someone tell me what weapon that is ? because it looks kinda like an M4 variant and not like an HK416.. i would like to give the units CQB M4 and MP5 ... since they are mostly CQB :)

Thanks to Foxhound and Soltan6 for hosting the update! Ah and if someone from BIS reads this.. could you do something about the 100kb image rule, it is very frustrating - especially in 2014. Just a crazy thought :)

@CrazyChrisX: Nah not an MP5.. but they also use those on other pics i found.. but to lazy to find them again atm \o/

i would say it looks like a M4ish but short version, its not a HK i can tell that by the looks of it, its not a MP5, to fat to be a MP5, their mainly thin ish weapons, but my guts says M4 CQB version ish.
