Alternate A.I Recruit script?

Right now i'm working on a defense type mission.You start the mission with up to 8 players and 40 A.I units.What i want to do is add the option for any of the 8 players to walk up to the A.I scroll and have the option to "RecruitNAME" once activated the unit joins the players squad and the action is removed.I got that part working with one player after looking around on the forums.But what i can't find is a way to allow any player to use this without adding "RecruitNAME1-8".
