Respawn Camps?

Hi,

today I've read the ArmA 3 Field Manual.

I found this:

Respawn Camp

Camps are respawn points which players can pack into a backpack, and later unpack on a different location. Use Assemble and Disassemble in the action menu to pack and unpack them.

A tent will give a respawn point to the player who unpacked it and all friendlies nearby.

A sleeping bag will create a point available only to the player who unpacked it.

Any player, including enemies, can pack your camp and use it later for themselves.

What is such a respawn camp? Is it a tent?

If it exists, it would be very nice for some gamemodes :)

it exists and yes it´s a tent. If it works or not i can´t answer.

It works, at least in Zeus with multiplayer. It's packed as a backpack that looks as a normal bergen or such, and is "assembled" as a tent/sleeping bag. Then, it shows up as a spawn option when you die.

Of course I'm only playing ARMA 3, Stable build.

Yes the respawn camp is the tents. Very useful! Or you can download the MHQ script and setup that.

Also in modules section you can create respawn points for your server.

Any ideas on how to block the tent or the sleeping bag to the player who has unpacked?

there aren't any info at wiki and google :(

I'm doing a DM and I wish the other players could not pack what is not theirs

Okay...it's been a while; Does anyone check this?

 

Since my posting...4 years back, the CAMP BACKPACK works (and you can set permissions for it).

Sort of anyway.

I've found that, usually, after the tent is set up, anyone can use it...once.

After that first use, only the person that set the tent can use it. Others being able to use it can be iffy at best.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Any ideas on how to fix it?
