10 FPS with good computer.

Recommended Posts

Hi! Just built my new $1,500 PC! I've had this game for a bit, but i could run it now! I digress, but im having horrable FPS issues. I get 10 FPS in towns and about 20 in the open. Here are my specs. Intel i5-4670k @ 3.4GHz GeForce GTX 780 8 Gigs of DDR3 ram at 1600 Windows 7.

I have my resution at 1920x1080, and my 3d resulution at the same. Draw distance all the way down. I have tryed every combo of settings. In GeeForce Experence, i had it optimize it, and that was basicly eveything maxed except PPAA dissabled. Video memery has always been set to default. Here is my settings in the OA config.

language="English";

adapter=-1;

3D_Performance=48387;

Resolution_H=1080;

nonlocalVRAM=1154744320;

vsync=0;

AToC=7;

PPAA=0;

Any help would be awesome! I have the latest drivers for my GPU. I have not overclocked at all. My CPU and GPU temps hover over 40-50C under load. HELP PLEASE!

EDIT: If i'm not allowed to post this here, please tell me so I know. Thanks!

Have you tried letting the GPU use application settings?

this may help you - we use it for new players in our clan and it gives them usually a 20fps boost.

http://www.gitsclan.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=6272

also try setting monitor to 1600x1200 and game to this also - just in case its the res.

good luck!

I appreciate this! I just tried that and it did not work. I have tried everything! If you look at my specs, should I be able to at least run 30+FPS? I don't get it. I always get 10-20 fps in this game no mater what. It must be multi-player or something. Ohh well. Thanks for the help!

Do you get high FPS in singleplayer or the editor and low in MP?

It must be multi-player or something.

It actually can be multiplayer. It can be server. I have always good FPS in singleplayer, but in multiplayer i have to choose servers wisely. On most servers i have unplayable FPS but on some i have almost better FPS than in singleplayer.

For example: in ACE/ACRE-Domination on Fly-German.DE i had allways more than 25 FPS even in fight in towns. But in other ACEdomination servers i never had stable FPS and mostly i had unplayable ones. Shame that Fly-German group moved to that stupid ARMA III thing. Now there is no moe good domination server.

the MP FPS issue can be caused by different players join with slightly different mods, which generates a huge amount of RPT spamming

also if the server is not running beta (which cuts RPT into separate files each session) it may need to delete its RPT as once it gets to 1.5Gb and above the frames start hopping real bad! we need to delete RPT once a month on our servers, as we don't run beta.

also the island - we have a beautiful new island (quite small too) in unsung that works only with viewdistance 1000 - then it's like smooth and lovely, and if you put fps up to 1500, then it chugs.

Several versions of Win 7 install a lot of default services - e.g,, Media Centre stuff -that are real resource hogs and generally unnecessary, especially for gaming. Game Booster will switch off most, but not all, of those. GB will also set your PC power profile to 'high'.

There are excellent guides to Windows services (XP to 8.1) on Black Viper's site, well worth implementing whatever one's requirements.

You don't mention whether you have an SSD. If so, check that after the reinstall your BIOS is set to AHCI & you have the latest Intel Storage Technology & other drivers appropriate to your MoBo. Depending on the MoBo chipset, you might also want to check that your RAM is set to the correct speed. I have 8GB of 1600 MHz Corsair Vengeance; my system (ASUS P8Z77-V LX2, Intel i7-3770K) defaults to running it at 1333 MHz until I manually set the memory to XMP mode. Use CPU-Z to check.

Also after a reinstall you should check that it hasn't set any of the cores to "park". That can result in poor FPS and stutter, etc. Use the resource monitor to check.

You can try and add this to the launch parameters:

-noLogs

I am not saying that it will fix your fps problem, but it might help to smoothen the overall experience.

-noLogs is only effective with the more recent betas. Doesn't do anything in 1.62 AFAIK.
