The Eridanus Insurrection - An Arma 3 Total Modication

Recommended Posts

Also, have you contacted spacenavy90 about his plans? Is he still working on the units? I don't want to begin something that someone else has already started.

Just one question i don't remember been a long time since i played...master chief was in odst right? and odst was like a special force?

Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 (now Master Chief Special Warfare Operator of the Navy) is a spartan-II. The Spartan-II Program was created to completely wipe out the Insurrectionists, who had claimed the lives of millions both civilian and military. But due to the Human-Covenant War a few groups of rebels maintained and attacked the UNSC inflicting small blows resulting in resource loss.

The ODST's (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper's) are a completely different group of specialized soldiers branching from the UNSC marines. They've been trained in deep ground recon, direct action and guerrilla warfare to name the few. After their first drop onto mars, in which was a battleground against neo-communist rebels, they became increasingly used in other high-risk operations. The ODST's had become one of the UNSC's greatest ground forces, destroying enemy supply lines and stopping major terrorist attacks that could have claimed the lives of millions more.

well more work going in, made a first design of the ODST drop bay with some place holder drop pods. its hard finding actual reference of what a drop bay actually looks like. in ODST they briefly show it and they seem to get into the pods and then get moved to the drop bay, not sure if i can recreate this but for simplicity sake im going with this simple open door design. the drop bay, according to this reference http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130521022737/halo/images/4/47/UNSC_Paris_Class_Frigate_Diagram.png should be on the bottom side forward of the pelican bays. was a pretty simple implementation for now actually. the pelican bay will directly connect to the drop bay.

here are some pics of the drop bay, nothing special really

view out of the bay. pretty big opening, could probably fit more pods, ill play with this a bit however reference states 12 ODST pods aboard... seems like not much at all. ill see..

pods are place holders, will revamp the whole model.

The ODST drop depicted in Halo 3: ODST was from a marathon-class heavy cruiser (UNSC Say My Name).

Marathon Bay:

Frigate Style Bay:

I can't give an accurate location right now, but I'll research where the bay is on the Paris-Class.

Edit: Found where the bays are:

This next image shows an ill-fated frigate, but the hatches can be seen behind the lower cargo bay:

However this is not the same frigate model as the one you have, so placing it somewhere near the pelican bays might be a better idea.

Wow, that was pretty fast. The bay looks fantastic, walking into the room from the briefing and preparing to drop will be epic.

The Warthog model so far it's a little of scale which is a easy fix as TheDog stated.

Also needs a bit of more work all around the edges.

All of the pieces are falling into place, the warthog looks great. Are you planning on adding different variants like the transport warthog?

That beast is absolutely my favorite vehicle from the Halo universe. Yes, that would be crazy and beautiful at the same time.:bounce3:

Knew it after I'm done with the Warthog (And it's other variants Minigun,Gauss,Rockets) Then it is on to the Elephant and it's big brother as I want to call it the M510 Siegework basically the Mammoth from Halo 4. Did I mention the M510 had a Mini-Mac Gun?

Can't wait to see all of that. I've been following another thread that was developing an attachtowithmovement script, basically allowing players to walk around on moving vehicles. It would fit perfectly with the moving castle that is the Mammoth.

Yeah I've seen it before. I just ran across some concept of Marines and thought that they looked a little better then the Halo:Reach Marines that SpaceNavy wanted to do. What's your guys thoughts on it?

Agreed the Army should look more like the Reach and the Marines a little lighter like the concept I showed.

Also I remember a guy that made models for Halo:CE a few years back. Martyn Lee Ball http://martynleeball.blogspot.com/.

He released some of his models for the CE community to use, if you want you could try to contact him to see if he'd be willing to share some of his models. I do believe these are all his work, nothing is ripped so no worries.
