Good news guys, with the introduction of Steam livestreaming I might consider starting streaming my mod progress at sometime.

You guys can see what I've been up to, ask questions, get answers, and generally have a good time. Let me know if you're interested and I can probably throw up some streaming blocks this weekend and get a few guys in.

If it works out, I could try and expand beyond just my mod and end up doing other things for A3 and other games. I'll keep you posted.

How to set it up:

- Set your Steam to beta mode.

- Then I think you might be able to join in if you search me on Steam during the time where I set streaming open to everyone (for privacy reasons I have it set to invite only so nobody snoops in when I don't want them to.) It's new so I'm not too sure.

I'm not dead, for one thing.

So yes, I've been sort of busy. Not really, though, since life happened. I've been seeing friends, family, and I've also been working on school.

In addition, there are a few miscellaneous projects I've been working on to further my knowledge on the side, as well as commitments I've made to guys like ASTFOR.

Plus I got really sucked into Counterstrike: Global Offensive. 10/10 would get AWPed in the face again.

Anyways, I have some news. A lot of this new update has been dedicated to fixing stuff, mostly around the new Azad vests and the shenanigans there. I've tried my hand at vehicles again, no luck there. I really, really need PhysX help. The rest of it is more or less finished up.

Of course, that was before I got bored and decided to start replacing some more A3 stuff with new content, so I have brought some A2 bags into the game, modified with newer details like straps and stuff.

Also, I've put in replacement packs to use semiarid and woodland troops instead of just the one with arid troops. No urban only pack, since urban troops are included within all of them (replacing the Men (Urban) from regular CSAT, as it always has been.)

Currently, I want to try and fix some more stuff before 1.4.2 (the bags are new but I don't think it's enough to warrant a 1.5.0 designation) goes out. I also want to try and do UI images at some point, but the ones I've tried looked really, really bad (they were super flat and ruined the perspective, making the image look all sorts of crappy.) It's easier for custom content, since I can screenshot that and just do the UI images that way.

That's your Boxer Day wrapup. I wanted to have this out as an Armenian Christmas gift on the 6th, but I'll be gone then. Maybe later that week.

Great addon! But one minor bug I noticed was that the CSAT vest belts will disappear if you look at them from more than 10 meters or so. Besides that, great mod!

Yeah, I've been tuning through the distance LODs. Same thing with the hiddenselection textures on the Penah battery pack.

Basically 1.4.2 turned into a giant update (1.5 now) and I don't know where to stop. D:

One quick request, would it be possible for CSAT to have more berets with realistic insignia?

At the moment, the berets have the CSAT flash to represent the Iranians' involvement in the CSAT unit. If they were at home, they'd have Iranian flashes. That's why they have CSAT logos on their shoulder with "IRANIAN DETACHMENT" written on them.

i'm iranian and we were looking for a mod with flag and cloth and everything looking like real...

we found this mod but it has our flag upside down :( (at least the version with pictures we have seen)

can it be fixed?

actually my friend who is our editor has found your mod out of i donno where! :) and asked me to ask you! :) if the problem still exist and can be fixed( i nor my friend haven't downloaded yet and we are talking based on some photo's we have seen from some other website! )

Hey there, early screens did have the upside down flag with the red on top because I found the flag texture that way (no idea who had put it there) and neglected to double check. It had been fixed a few months ago, so you should have nothing to worry about.

This comes from my current build of 1.5, but the flags were fixed in June or so with 1.3.

Awesome! I can´t play without your mod... haven´t seen a bugmen from outer space ingame ever since you´ve released your first stable version! Keep it up, TheEvanCat!

(PS: is the Mig-29K also receiving some tweaks?)

The MiG got a bunch of new LODs and a wreckage version. I think some other stuff, too. Textures and whatnot.

Unfortunately, the CAS and AA versions were removed until I can fix the weapons (no idea why they are acting up.) The original should do just fine.

So here's the deal. I have a lot of stuff ready to push out once I finish these UI images. I might also make the CSAT Titans and RPGs black (I think the RPG has hiddenselections now, or at least a dev promised at one point!) along with the Titans able to shoot both types of missiles. I want to issue out a multipurpose AA/AT long Titan to every missileman just because I think the short Titan looks awkward when carried. Short Titans will still be issued to SOF units, but will retain their multipurpose capabilities. The Rahim might be getting the black treatment as well.

I've started planning for Marksman DLC and the addition of men with the new weapons. Like with Helicopter DLC, the Marksman DLC will be in an optional PBO so that there is no DLC requirement to use my mod. Also, I'm scoping out some more mods to integrate with optionally, like weapons mods or something like that. I know once FEMAL3 gets updated I'm going to try and get some women in here to alleviate the sausagefest. Any suggestions are welcome.

In the meantime, this should be all good in a few days. Enjoy some screens detailing what I've been doing.

I don't really think T-72s really match the theme I'm going for. I quite like the existing tank, shame I can't do more with it.

In the meantime, VBSS teams and DA SOF are getting a new helmet, the FCH/S Raad which is modeled on an OPSCOREish thing my friend gave me. I'm kind of iffy about some of the vests and textures on these, but I'm a perfectionist and this is never going to be released if I'm bothered by some weird weighting and the occasional texture stretching.

I'm finishing up. UI is done, I've made some modifications to stuff I want to change. Did some more config changing so I'm doing stuff like giving these helmets to guys. Might set up a direct action SOF unit to complement recon as their heavier bros. I have the assets in, I just need to config it, give it groups, whatever.

Part of me wants to hold off until CSAT gets the 7.62x54mmR round chambering their heavier weapons so you're not left with ammo bearers holding their bags with errors referring to 7.62x51mm Zafir bags. The change is in devbranch right now. Not sure when they're bringing it over.

I think I've decided to hold off until that cartridge switchover, so I put my time to use. The Abda now has HMG and GMG variants.

I made the turret on the vehicle from scratch, using tons of screenshots of the base BI turret as a reference. I modeled it, textured it, whatever. It's not a 100% copy but I think it's close enough to have turret commonality with the rest of the fleet.

Oh, by the way, those models and stuff are coming soon to download for anyone to use.
