Arma 3: CERBERUS

Hello and welcome to the introduction of CERBERUS

p><p>UKSF (United Kingdom

as part of a British contingent sent to Altis to train AAF (Altisian Armed Forces) Special Forces in guerrilla and insurgency

warfare. However, the training is put on hold when CSAT forces quickly invade the island and take the capital, Pyrgos, within

2 days. The British operators are quickly evacuated to the U.S. Fifth Fleet, which was sent to the area when CSAT movements

were picked up by satellite imagery. The first stage, Invasion, takes place 5 days after the Pyrgos was taken over.

NATO forces quickly respond with massive beach landings, deploying multiple battalions of Marines and Special Forces.

PLANS:

- New and improved 3-D editor

- Map Editor: Music Player, to find the perfect track to use in your missions

- Crate Editor: create custom ammunition crates to put into the editor

- Multiplayer Missions:

COOP 01 - Ferocious Winds (Zeus Gamemode)

COOP 02 - Stranger Tides

- Singleplayer Campaign:

Stage 1 - Invasion

Stage 2 - Revelations

Stage 3 - Cerberus

- Plans for a new map called Tenedos (located off the coast of Turkey, and east of Lemnos, Altis)

- Play as a new faction, UKSF

Looks good! Nice to see Zeus integration.

I'm wondering how you'll wrap the multiplayer and singleplayer missions together in one package. Are they from a different point of view entirely?

Online and Offline missions are defined as different classes in the CfgMission class, which means that I can put singleplayer/offline missions in the subclass "Missions" and the MP missions in the subclass "MPMissions", much how you would when saving it from the editor, but using a folder structure instead of a global config. So yes, there will be SP and MP missions in the same package :P

The main campaign will be based around combined arms warfare, which seemed to lack for the Arma 3 Eastern Wind campaign. There will be no Zeus in the main campaign as such, however that being said, I am still open to doing many SP and MP missions using Zeus. The possibilities are endless, just limited by creativity and time constraits :P

Hope that answered a few questions.

And how exactly are you planning on submitting the campaign and MP missions? I thought mods weren't allowed in them.

As much as I welcome comments, this one did not sit well with me. That being said I en-devour to answer the community as much

as possible.

The Campaign and MP Missions are part of the whole package. This package is a collection of mods that I have put together from

my time with Arma 3. That is why I have put it under the Total Modifications Section. It will add new content to the game, but

rather than completely re-defining the game by creating something like, for example, a Star Trek Mod; I have chosen to stick with

the games roots and modify the bits I thought were lacking. As for the campaign being based around special forces, this is not

because I am a special forces wanna-be. Far from it actually, I myself are training to become an Officer in the Royal Air Force, I know

that I would never have what it takes. The main reason for this choice is because of the Real Virtuality Engine constraints. It is

not feasible to create missions with multiple platoons and companies of units because of performance issues. However that being said

I do not want to give the story away, so that is as much as I wish to comment on the matter

So overall the mod structure looks like this:

- Campaign (3 Stage Campaign is the main part of this mod)

- 3-D Editor (something that the community has been waiting a long time for)

- MP & SP Missions

- Modular Medical System (ACE Compatible - can be turned on or off)

- New faction (UKSF - playing in the Cerberus Campaign)

- New Map *Possibly* (Tenedos - Staying in the Aegean Sea Region)

- New faction (Royal Navy - New ship, HMS Daring enters service)

- Other things that I do not want to give away yet

I apologise if I sounded rude, I'm just annoyed of those spec-ops-sniper-rocket-launcher-satchel-charge missions. There's actually quite a lot of them on the Steam Workshop.

Are you doing all of this on your own? If so, I doubt you're going to make it before August or whenever the deadline is.

At the moment it is just me on the team. I am a very fast worker and have already had most of the content completed for a while. But I am looking for experienced modders (unfortunately I will only be looking for people from the UK).

The rate of completion at the moment is very high along with the standards as you can see be the screens that have been posted. I take pride in what I do.

Bull, very nicely laid out and proposed.

Looking forward to seeing the type 45 in there for sure... with all the aircraft we have whizzing around a good AA Destroyer will come in handy !

Will the 3d editor and medical system be available to the whole game, or just your campaign in the mod? will it change the game it self or just an improvement to your campaign? i hope it's for the game itself good luck i'm hoping that you win
