Ambient civilian and vehicle module not cleaning up after itself

Recommended Posts

ArmA2OA 1.62

I've used the ALICE and SILVIE modules on ACR's Bystrica island, using City Center Location game logics as described here:

http://sandbox.darrenbrant.com/arma_ii/adding-ambient-civilians-vehicles-to-a-map

Cars and civies spawn fine and everything, but they do not seem to clean up after themselves when I leave the town radius. I activated all the towns and ended up with 200 civilian AI at one point.

Pics. I activate three towns here.

I teleport to edge of map and waited, no change in AI number except debug markers going black (whatever that means).

edit: tested this on Chernarus and same result. What am I missing here?

Bump - having same issue

I believe it's a bugged that was solved in 'ALICE2' that is only for OA however and doesn't retro apply to A2 maps (or so I believe)

The black circles are doorways where units spawn, and also where they are "stored" under various situations, such as when you are out of range. Although ALICE does not clean up any units, it does disable them (enableSimulation false) when you are out of range. That way if you move back into range, it doesn't have to spawn them again (except to replace the dead).
